That was last year. You don't know what his state is right now. There is no risk but possible reward.

Funny you mention the Ravens. The team that signed Dez after some of the Cowboy players and fans said bad things about him. Go look up what Lee said about him after Dez was released.

At this point they should do it just to stop the speculation. Win/win situation. He plays well, the team benefits. He plays poorly, we don't have to see the annual speculation.

He sucker punched a teammate didn't he? That's pretty egregious man. I'm not sure he's even worth a vet min look at this point. Then again maybe he'll sucker punch Parsons and end up in traction..

There is a difference between 3 years and 1 year. Plus Dez was not cut for conduct detrimental to the team yo void all guaranteed dollars. Earl kind of was.

Dez was was cut on April 18 and signed by the Saints in November of 2018. And Dez was cut for various reasons including not getting along with few of his team mates.

Not getting along is not the same as skipping meetings and practices, ignoring the defensive scheme in game, and picking fights with your teammates because you think you are better than them.

There is a reason no one wants him. He is done in the NFL.

How do you know for sure? He may be or he may be not. They said the same thing about Aldon Smith last year.

It won't cost us much to find out. At worst, he can help teach the system during the camp and we can see what he is about without any big financial risk if he is willing to sign for a vet minimum.
