B-

The two premium picks are character risks. Two of the biggest needs were 1T and S, and we did little for one and nothing for the other. And it just felt like we didn’t do enough with the bounty of picks we had in Rds 3-4.

That said, we got a lot of talent, focused on defense, which has been the team’s Achilles heel for more than a decade. We got an undervalued asset in Cox, and a pet cat of mine in Osa (though I expected to get him later).

I had hoped for 5 or 6 difference makers with some trading up to nab key players at positions of need. Instead get 9 role players and 2 character risks.

C. We didn't get the value and sure things we should've, picking as high as we did.

I gave them a B and I think it could have been an A except for the poor 3rd round. They did not get a Safety, a real position of need and I think that was a problem in this draft.

Said it another post, I’ll go B-. Like Parsons & Joseph and collecting an extra 3rd. Osa & Golston were a little bit of a reach but not terrible. Decent picks in the 3rd.

Wright is the biggest dent in this draft. You want your little project? Fine, take him on Day 3 with all the other projects. Take someone who will contribute this year in the 3rd Round. Easily the worst pick.

Day 3 picks were pretty solid overall. Love the value of Cox in the 4th, very happy with that.

B- and they could have easily gotten an A+ with a better 2nd Day.

Hey, as we all know, it’s fine to grade now for the fun of it.
Its how we grade the draft based on how we evaluated players beforehand
:flagwave:

as always, the actual results grades come later
Different thing...and infinitely more important
Results trump theory......
Hoping that one is an A

1. Michah Parsons (LB) - We got the best defensive player in the draft
2. Kelvin Joseph - (CB) 1st round talent at CB in the 2nd round
3. Osa Odighiwusa (DT) Good pick, sleeper in third, 3-Tech who can get after the passer, needs to put on 10 lbs
4. Jabril Cox - (LB) Arguably the best coverage LB in the draft- ... per Mel Kiper
5. Nahshon Wright & Israel Makuamu CB/S Pair of 6' 4 corners and potential safety with Elite length, good speed and ball skills at the cover 3
6. Quentin Bohanna - DT 6'5 357 Lb behemoth NT that can swallow up the RB and QB at the same time, on the same play

I'm thinking it's an A- for a defensive draft but I have to give it a C+ because we failed to select my PFF mock favorites

I'd say my guess on best players vs where we took them....so value/quality are
4(115) Jabril Cox
5 (179) Simi Fehoko

Starters are Parson and Joseph

Parsons was an amazing pick.

Grant, Holland and especially Moehrig falling to the 2nd round right in front of our face. Yet
no trade up. Once again, No desire for Dallas to use a premium pick on a safety. I hope the
media and press people ask Jerry why he hates Safety position. Could be a correlation to our
early playoff exits.

Take JOK or Ojulari. Then draft a bunch of CB's in round 3. Could have been one better strategy.

I like Bossman, but didn't really research him prior to the draft. I saw a few posts in the forum
where guys said he was the most talented day 2 CB guy but had off-field issues. If they were dead set
on a corner, it's hard to not take Asante Samuel Jr. in that situation. Yes he's 5'10 but that guy
will be good. Bossman is a wait and see. Lots of people assume he's LCB but lets see if
he even starts next year. Anthony Brown or Lewis could be on the edge, which isn't preferable but
could happen.

I wanted Ifeatu and can't believe he lasted till pick 101. However, we had pick
99 and took a tall corner, but not by the name of Ifeatu.
Ifeatu was tall himself and a great tackler, not sure why Cowboys didn't want him.
That would have been an amazing pick.
'll still root for Wright, just the idea of a 6'5 true corner is kindof hilarious but it is also exciting.

I loved the Jabril Cox pick.

Standford guy looks good, and is tall which is a plus for our short wideout group.

Quinn Meinerz another guy we needed that was drafted a few picks in front of us.
That stings a bit.

Josh Ball, Big tall Tackle is wayyy too big lol. Tall tackles usually get worked in the NFL. He probably
won't be on the team in a few years. He also has some back history of throwing women around. Not cool.

We needed to spend a 3rd round pick on Evan Mcpherson. We need a solid college kicker like no ones business.

I hope I'm wrong about this draft class but hard to give a good score when we missed crazy talent right in front of our face!

Joseph.. To me he looks better than Diggs coming out of college. Just a natural cover corner.

His acceleration makes him so hard to run past.
As long as he keeps his head, he should be our #1 eventually. He has a better overall skill set than Diggs does. Hard to find legit #1 CB prospects after the 1st

I gave it a C.
Not that I dislike any of the players they drafted, I actually like several of them. Nor was against the overall theme of drafting defense early and key offensive needs later. But I just feel, as many others do, that many of those players could have possibly been drafted a little later and that some glaring needs were left unfulfilled, even when they had the chance to go get the player.

I wanted higher priority to be on a top 1T vs another 3T. And I also don't understand not drafting a FS. Moehrig was right in front of them for the taking and they did nothing but let him slip away.

Ive seen two different weights for Odighizuwa. 280 and 285.

Bohannon got down to 327 for his pro. Hopefully he stays in that range

I think they reached, especially in the 3rd round.
I think with small moves they could have had 4 legit starters.
Instead I think they got one starter, one part time guy, two maybe starters in a couple years, and some development and ps players.

Some will see this as a good draft if they get two starters out of it. With 5 positions that easily could have been upgraded on the D, two starters don't cut it for me.

I thought we did pretty good in the draft. This year with the coronavirus we didn't really get to see these players as much as normal. Plus there's only a few pro days. So some of these players may have been ranked way higher in a regular year. Maybe our scouts who are looking at them way more closely then people that were trying to look at everybody. I like what we did. I just wish we would have got a true safety.
