I honestly think Jags surprised them by taking Hollands with the first pick of the 2nd round. I'm convinced he was their #1 priority target at 44 but not enough for the price of moving up 10 spots. So losing out on Hollands wasn't their fault, it just happened. Moehrig and Grant IMO were never seriously considered over Joseph for 44 but this is just my take.

Really excited about this pick. I didn't even think we'd have him on our board, but the whole RKG thing is obviously out the window. His 'red flags' are silly and all it shows is a little immaturity. I'm cheering for him to disprove all those concerns.

I'm glad we ended up with Joseph instead of Campbell, because Campbell doesn't have the ball skills.

I'm hoping this is our Marcus Peters, Honey Badger pick.

Yep, agree about Holland, but what some fans can't fathom is that we arent looking for a Safety, we were looking for someone that helped the long coverage. As I keep saying Moehrig's greatest value is his aggressive play in the slot, with having Neal and Wilson and playing a Cover 3, there's little value in him to us.

I wanted the FS more than the CB. But they wanted the CB more than the FS. And at that point, it was either Joseph or Melifonwu so yeah, I'm good with the pick.
He can play, and brings a little feistyness to the back end of the D. I think he'll be good for us opposite Diggs.

More interceptions in one season (4) than either Horn, or Surtain interception total in one season.
And that one season, was the most recent -- 2020.
At pick #44, value was solid, with high upside.
Add his selection to Parsons, the defenses added young salty play-makers with game-changing skills.

most fans want names so they dont see clearly in evals on a lot of this draft as it didn't fit their wants. Fans are fickle..

I believe there are many candidates for FS in the group we have now one or two might come from the CB spot..Quinn will develop one to fit his scheme..we do have many SS and SS/LB hybrids now and enough LBs with speed to pick from to run quinns hybrid schemes..

not sure why but i got really good feeling about this draft and FA.. with real Offseason quinn will find his starters and rotational guys by game 1 on this roster..

Mukamuka is the S. He's played it in college, and lacks the skills to cover at CB.

I don’t care if he is good or not. Just love that we have someone that goes by bossman fat on the team

I really hope this kid screws his head on right and it could be a great pick but I voted no...........head over the heart.

2 coaches saying no to him despite the talent is a major worry, maybe its an age thing and he matures but it has to be a big worry doesn't it? Especially the "give up" on the field comment from the Kentucky coach.

If you were recruiting at your work and a person came in who had been bombed out by their last 2 bosses, would you bring them in?

My worry is we have another David Irving on our hands, all the talent but couldn't care less about football. I know people are saying what if he becomes our Marcus Peters but I'd rather they selected a player with a slightly lower ceiling than a player with a fair chance of being released in no time.

I want to be positive, I really do.

I think if he puts out a 7th rap album, it will all be worth it.

These dont appear the same "character traits" that came with Trysten Hill ... "Lazy", is red flag central.

If you read this thread, it appears that these "character flaws" dont appear as overriding as some are making out. I'd even go as far as saying his Bossman persona irked the coaching staff and they were looking to pick up on any indiscretion (however minor).

The "Give up" quote wasnt a reflection of his play or work ethic it was made by Stoops after Joseph had embarrassed him by asking to be rested for USC game.

Stoops mentioning his behaviour and not being akin to Kentucky 'culture' is a bit laughable with the season they had....possibly feeling uneasy about his position and not wanting a mass opt out.

Id be more interested in analyzing an interception of DeVonta Smith against a Bama side that routed Kentucky.

The Boss Man does not turn 21 until November. He was playing cornerback for LSU at 17 years of age. Talk about boom or bust. This guy pans out we talking about becoming a free agent at 24 years of age. If he busts he could be on the street at 22.
