Here's a healthy LVE. Can't get this clip out of my mind. For all the hate Jaylon rightfully gets, this guy gets a free pass from this board. It is really perplexing.

They can both have great seasons and then it makes no difference which one has the better year.

Jaylon is a gimp. LVE will ride the training table. That's the reality.

Watch the defensive line on that play. Light work for the Ravens.

I think LVE will be given every opportunity to have the better year. I think if healthy he'll get more snaps, but I's so hard to tell with him

LVE needs to play to get into the rhythm of the NFL. Both he and Smith looked horrible at times last season. Perhaps it was Nolan's defense but I thought they looked like they were playing with lead shoes. Parsons and Cox can both run, and I think Cox is more instinctive than all of them. That said, I think, or I should say I hope, LVE and Smith both have great seasons in 2021, while Parsons and Cox show they are worthy of starting. Then in 2022, the Cowboys can trade one of them for top value.

Both highly talented players coming out of college, both have had injury impact their career in some fashion. Both underachieving and only have 1 good full year of tape. Both put on notice with the drafting if Parsons and Cox.

Who outperforms who?
I'll take which one stays healthy for 500, Alex.

I don't get this whole LVE is much better than Jaylon. After that great year they had together, they've both looked pretty pedestrian since. I'll omit the Nolan's defense year.

I will say that LVE is a bit better on field, but that's the key problem. Can he stay on the field? Linebacker is a high impact position and neck injuries don't get better with time. If I had to choose who to keep between the two, I'd have to pick Jaylon because we've already seen LVE with the Sean Lee story. It's hard to have a consistent defense when your key pieces are always on the sidelines injured.
