Here's hoping TJ Vasher makes the most of his opportunity when he's called upon. He'll be obliged to work harder than ever to make the jump into the NFL. It's a tough climb to make the team. He must assume a better work ethic if it's to be achieved. Good luck, young man -- make it happen!

Gallup or Amari is going to leave an opening soon. Will leave an opening for players like Wilson, Simi and Vasher. Wilson is the front runner to me already developing some chemistry with Dak. Still it will be fun to watch the battle.

I’m a big Texas Tech fan and I’ve seen Vasher play both in person and on TV many times. He’s a feast or famine type player.

He can make unbelievable catches with someone draped on him, but he drops a ton of ordinary passes that hit him in the hands. He can be great at times but he takes off plays way too much and is not a good blocker.

His strengths:
  • Size- 6’6” with huge hands and large catch radius
  • Can catch in traffic
  • Good in red zone with contested catches
  • Competitive; fights for the ball
His weaknesses:
  • Not that fast
  • Takes off plays, especially in the run game
  • Too many drops
  • Inconsistent
Vasher probably would have been drafted if he had shown some consistency and commitment. He has skills but never seemed that committed to improving his game. He has some talent but he’s a long shot.

I have watched him many times over the last few years, and above is a good evaluation of him.

And just a FYI for those who think he is camp fodder - which depending on which version of him shows up.... --- Patrick Mahomes wasn't even considered for the Heisman when he played at Tech, neither was Baker Mayfield regardless of their play. Playing for Texas Tech means your play is always downgraded.

TJ Vasher

6'6", 216 lbs., 37.0" verticle.

Surprised to see TJ Vasher went undrafted. Glad to see the Cowboys sign him as a UDFA.

As a hardcore Longhorn supporter, I saw TJ Vasher light up the Longhorn defenses in recent years many times. With his height, weight, adequate speed, excellent hands and good athleticism, Vasher could become a weapon worth developing even further.

He kind of reminds me of Terrell Owens but taller. Needs more grooming but definitely plays with some fire and freakish athleticism. It will be interesting to see if Vasher makes the team.

Redzone material.

What a not to like with him. Add 25 lbs and make him a TE.

I hope its Amari.

Cowboys need to get a pick or a starter for him.

I actually hope it's not Amari; however, it's business and if CeeDee can show he can be a true #1 I think it only makes sense to get what you can for Amari especially if we get some of the younger WRs to develop.
