I did not like the Reggie Robinson pick at the time. Then thought give him a chance.
Sounding like possibly a wasted pick. Or should I say another wasted pick. Maybe the Nashon Wright is an attempt to fix it. Though I still think that was a reach also.

They should have just drafted a S there.

However, I will give them all a chance to see what happens in TC, see how they look, no matter what position they are at.

One of these days we're going to realize that instead of drafting cornerbacks and turning them into free safeties that maybe we should simply, uh, draft a free safety? :huh:

Safety appears to be the weak link right now. Infuriates me that they think so little of the position that they just think they cN throw a big corner at it and it will be fine.for all the good the front office does, this is their cyptonite.

IDK, Cal, but it's all over his scouting reports that he can't turn and run w/ receivers. Maybe the 3 cone and shuttle aren't great at portraying that?

It's amusing watching you take my mistakes as personal accomplishments though. You remind me of an ex girlfriend of mine who would follow me around and behave much the same way after I broke up with her. She stopped after a few months. You are going on at least 3 years.

Robinson may not be the ideal starting FS, but he's going to allow Kazee time to rehab, & split time w/him throughout the season.

They clearly have to do something about safety. I think Kazee is going to do well and maybe paired with Wilson he will be OK. But I suspect it’s Israel Mukuamu that moves to safety.

There’s a logjam at corner and last year Dallas only kept 5 players. This year those would be Diggs and Joseph as starters, Brown as the slot corner, Goodwin for his special teams play and then probably Wright. So actually, both Mukuamu and Jourdan Lewis will move to safety. Robinson is the odd man out.

Here are the players, you guys tell me who goes where:

Corners (pick 5 or max 6): Trevon Diggs, Jordan Lewis, Anthony Brown, Maurice Canady, C.J. Goodwin, Kelvin Joseph, Israel Mukuamu, Nahshan Wright, Reggie Robinson

Safeties (pick 4): Demontae Kazee, Darían Thompson, Donavon Wilson, Jayron Kearse.

i knew Cannaday opted opted but i dunno if he was given just a 1 year deal ,,or 2 year deal per FA,.

Draft a highly regarded safety in earlier rounds ... instead designating automatic to ate rounders ala Wilson, Xavier and Israel ...

I just don’t see any way that Canady makes the team. Maybe he does if Joseph is an abject failure. He won’t play special teams and cutting him saves $1.2M against the cap.

Reggie Robinson at free safety.., again?

Just like Richard did with Bryon, Quinn moved Robinson back to corner as soon as he took the job. Don't think he will be moved again and he will be a corner for the foreseeable future. Probably in the competition to become the #3 outside corner with our 3rd rd pick as I see Brown playing the slot.

He may be, but he sure hasn’t had a chance to show it. They have mishandled the kid since day one. No rookie looks good when he is moved from position to position from week to week. He should have played in some of the meaningless games last year so that the coaches could evaluate him. IMO, they should just stop with the CBs being converted to safeties and draft a couple real safeties. None of the conversations have paid off and in the case of Byron Jones, it was a waste of his talents.

The Wright pick was a massive reach fro what I have read. He was rated as a sixth round prospect by some sources.

As others said, this is just blogger speculation. The team hasn't said anything about moving him back to safety.

Someone asked if the move to CB was even real. David Moore said on the Ticket during their draft (or pre-draft) coverage that one of the things Quinn asked when he first got here was, "Why did you move this guy to safety? He's exactly the kind of long, athletic corner I like."

most likely yes he will be battling the CBS we took in the draft to even make the team..might be old scheme casualty. Who knows..
