I loved this show when it originally aired.

EXCLUSIVE: Night Court is back in session. NBC is developing a follow-up to the classic legal comedy series, with co-star John Larroquette set to reprise his Emmy-winning role and produce. The Big Bang Theory alumna Melissa Rauch executive produces the reboot for Warner Bros TV.

Wow, now if they were to precede that with a reboot of Barney Miller and have some crossover episodes, that might be pretty good.

It gives me another chance to gawk at Melissa Raunch from The Big Bang Theory.
Markie Post was easy on eyes in the original. I still remember that bikini scene she did in The Fall Guy.
I always remember the episode of Night Court when she flashed the millionaire to distract him and lose his arm wrestling match. I just kept thinking, "That lucky bass turd!"

Is there any originality left in Hollywood at all?
Not much but they do try with shows like The Office, Parks and Recreation and Community. The problem I have with Network TV is laugh tracks, they ruin any comedy with that lame attempt to get me to group laugh. If they do Night Court, I hope they go the route of Brooklyn 999 without the tracks.

Their biggest obstacle is the censorship when they're up against cable, premium and streaming programs.

I have read recently that several of the popular TV shows from years past are being brought back. Considering the current social climate , which has very little tolerance for anything that can remotely offensive, I don’t think that the shows will have very much success. “All in the Family” is one show that I have read about returning. The very things that made the show successful would be considered highly offensive to certain groups in our modern society. I would love to see the shows return. TV shows will have a very hard time offending me, but I know everybody doesn’t see things like I do.

Mel Brooks has said that he could not get any of his films made today in the current climate.
If someone tried to get Blazing Saddles made today the woke jerks would demand their immediate destruction
Which is another reason trying remakes is moronic. What made the originals work you cannot do anymore

Network TV has become pretty unwatchable. I've deleted almost every current show off my DVR.

i wanna say they couldn't pull off the humor today, but to me MOM and 2 and 1/2 men were flat out hilarious.

depends on the writers.

John Laroquette was hilarious in Night Court. Gonna be tough without Harry Anderson. But I’ll give it a shot along with the new Frasier! I only watch a few prime time sitcoms, Mom which is ending this week and the Goldbergs.. so hopefully these reboots will be worth watching!

They're making a new Frasier?
