Dez not being in the league is absolutely a Dez issue.

But him commenting on Tim Tebow getting another shot at the league after a million years out of the league doesn't make him envious, which is what the OP was alluding to.
Agreed with you. With Tebow, he’s likely looking at a 3rd TE role. Limited snaps, some gimmicky plays.

Just don’t think Dez would ever settle for something like that.

But I get where he is coming from.

All I can say about Tebow is he tried out with Urban Myers and was given the chance to go to training camp as evidently TE. How this pans out is anyone guess but evidently Myers saw enough to afford this opportunity to Tebow.

Telling it like it is ... Did you agree with Dez that Witten (unlike Dez) was only out for himself and Sean Leach was "the snake"?

I believe that Dez can get emotional at times--I think that it was understandable after getting fired. He took it too far and I'll agree that one probably wasn't accurate as far as I can tell, but what he was saying about the play-calling absolutely was.

Because Tim is a good and likable guy, folks will always be willing to give him a chance.

At some point, everybody should move on. lol

Dez was trying to market himself last season as a TE.

Unfortunately, at this point, both he and Tebow will have a similar impact on any team the sign with.

But yeah, Urban Meyer is a joke and he hasn’t even coached a game yet.

Thabk God we dodged that bullet
Why is Urban Myer a joke? He is as good as there is at the college game... and yes, that includes St. Nick.

If Dak could've squeaked by teams 17-13 in 2019 we would've won the division. Instead we lost games where our opponents scored 17, 13, and 12 points. Dak threw ZERO TDs combined in those games. We went 8-8.

Yet, you're hating on Tebow for getting it done and winning them? Weird.
Takes quite the zealot to passionately defend a “QB” (oh sorry, TE now!) who’s been out of football since 2012 and who completed fewer than 48% of his career pass attempts!

Good for you!!!

No, Tebow was a victim of being a garbage QB.

Elway was smart enough to see through that joke, went and got Peyton Manning and won a ring because of it.
Manning vs Tebow? whew, good thing Elway was so smart. How is the QB search been going for the genius Elway lately?

Nobody is defending him, but the fact that you use him winning a 17-13 type of game as some type of slight on him while our 40 million a year QB lost 3 of those types of games in 2019 (and threw ZERO TDs combined in them) to keep us out of the playoffs and go 8-8 is just funny to me.

But hey, you do you I guess lol

I think it’s a joke that Tebow was run out of the league in the first place. He never got a fair shot. He has an above .500 winning percentage, 17 TDs with 9 INTs plus 12 more touchdowns on the ground. He even won a playoff game.

Dummy Rex Ryan never gave the kid a chance in New York, which is especially puzzling because of the trash that was in front of him there. I guarantee you that if he had a chance he would have won more games than the stiffs that they ran out there in 2012.
That you Skip Bayless?

Yes, agree, stout lad.
But me peev is at the lack of grace by Dez. We all probably feel like Dez, but stay classy and instead offer support for more senior citizens like Tebow and Richard Sherman.
Why are you so triggered by anything Dez does or says?
Why does this bother you? It seems weird how many "fans" of the cowboys around here get so triggered with anything Dez related.

Maybe Prisco is envious too.

Completely agree with Prisco. The NFL knows Tebow can't play. If Jacksonville wants to use this charade to generate interest, ticket sales etc., more power to them. The guy will be a complete nonfactor when the games are played.

I'm a Tebow fan. He is an exceptional person, which affords him opportunities others rarely receive.
And because he accepts these opportunities, many get upset with him.
However, he was simply not a good quarterback over four quarters. He had a clutch gene but not the talent to go with it.
But I like him because he doesn't respond in kind to the criticism he receives, even from his television colleagues.
He is the one celebrity that seems to never strike back when the hordes unleash just and unjust criticism towards him.
That, alone, puts me in his corner.
So do your thang, Tim. If the door opens for you, walk through it.
I'm rooting for him, but at 34, I don't expect much.
But I would like to hear the chant one more time ... Tee-bow Teeooohhh bow!
