Seahawks Wide Receiver DK Metcalf competed in the men's 100m dash Olympic trials and actually was able to hang with a bunch of track stars. Metcalf did not embarrass himself at all...and actually proved that with better training maybe the fastest of NFL players could possibly compete for the Olympics. Say someone like Metcalf, Tyreek Hill or a few others? Are there any speedsters in the NFL you would like to see compete? Any Cowboys player(s)?

He didnt do too bad actually. But he is simply too big to compete at that level. This guy is a total beast on the football field.

Still don't understand why he did that. Olympic sprinters are a select bunch who train for years to get to that level. If for no other reason than that there was zero chance Metcalf was going to be anywhere near the top time, and as he was what, 15th out of 17 runners or something like that?

If he had always wanted to be in the Olympics then yeah I could why he did it. But otherwise seemed to be a futile attempt.

I have no problem with his doing it, just don't see what all the hoopla is about....

Sounds like he just wanted to compete. Sucks that he took a legitimate competitor's spot though.

He beat 2 of the track guys so he didn't rob anyone of anything.
If anything he brought more eyeballs and exposure to the event which was good for USTF.

He’s lean enough but he simply has too much muscle on his frame which at this level is likely detrimental, just as a point of reference Usain Bolt is an inch taller but about 25lbs lighter FWIW, still a good showing

Hill is legitimate sprinter. I'd like to see him give it a go.
