Id say maybe they are equal. Gillimore has alot of power and burst, but he is all linier and has a small tackle radius. Both of them are type of DT's you take in the 3rd round

Gallimore is definitely a penetrator that causes disruption in the backfield that allows other defenders to benefit from.

Gallimore is linear?

His strength as a prospect was quickness and agility. Weakness was strength and ability to anchor. He was your typical, 3T prospect that needed to add strength and power to be a more
Complete player but at least he wasn’t a tweener.
Yeah, that didn't make sense to me either.

His change of direction is definitely not a straight. He is a very straight line athlete

I think a real camp and more consistent will make Gallimore a real factor this year. Last, especially again Pittsburgh he should he can be very disprupive. Great combination of power and burst

Where do you think they will play Gallimore in this defense?

I’m wondering if he’s not in the mix for time at nose?

Someone mentioned that he played there at Oklahoma but I haven’t confirmed it yet.
On passing downs he has some gap flexibility. You can like both him and Odighizuwa at the 3 gaps, but you could also line Gallimore up over a 1 gap with Odighizuwa at a 3. Usually teams play two players at 3T on passing downs, but having flexibility in the gaps you rush from gives you alot of flexibility. With Gallimore's burst and power, I think they may have him rush from a 1T spot at times

Just posted something similar in another thread but we already have a good up and coming 3T in Gallimore. I hope we're not dumb enough to draft a 3T when we literally just drafted a better 3T prospect the year prior.
I get your premise,I cant wait to see Gallimore this year an likewise Odiggie next year.Great problem especially since we have Bohanna for run downs. I love defensive tackles.

Donald was never labeled or thought of as a tweener. Where'd you hear that misinformation?
Tweener is a reference to size relative to position.

Aaron Donald was 6-1, 285 at the combine as a DT. That is definitely in the category of tweener size at DT.

Osa Odighizuwa measured in at 6-2, 282. If he has tweener size at DT then Donald did also.

I don't know about Donald's Pitt career, but in the nfl Donald has played both DE and DT with the rams.

Ah. Never heard it called linear before. Always heard it as stiff hips, poor lateral agility, or a straightline athlete.

Had me confused. Not hard to do!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tweener isn't about size as much as it's about skillset relating to size.

Never heard Donald spoken of as a tweener. His scouting report is all about pointing out that he is simply a player, and his size would not hinder him. They talk about his stature creating natural leverage, and about his extremely disruptive he would be in the NFL. Sorry, Walks, not a tweener.

It's in his scouting report in Lindy's: "More than capable of playing at a higher weight class, as he weighed nearly 330 pounds when he played nose tackle."
