Why did we take Bohanna over Tonga?

too bad.

Tom Brady in the 6th is absolute proof that scouts and GM's are not any better at playing the same game people here do. They just have the power to actually influence the pick.
true.
but i've missed on soooo many.
not that anyone cares.

I've missed some.
Hit on some. More than I can take credit for.
Think that some that I missed wouldn't have missed in a better situation/scheme/team for the player.

Learned that it doesn't matter because Jerry owns the team and will make his choices regardless of what I think.

So DQ would rather pass on Aaron Donald too?

Donald "only" has 32" arms.
If Aaron Donald was in the 6th to 7th round sure. IF it was inversed I doubt it. Late round guys are usually guys that will be development picks, also since Bohana is 1T the ceiling on them is usually pretty low since they their positional value is low even though you can hardly find one. Also because the way they are built when their athleticism declines sooner and they are discarded quicker, because everyone loves stats and 1T dont give you many stats.

He has size/length on Tonga but this kid has bottom of the league athleticism and movement skills. And I mean amongst fellow 1Tech's.

Agreed. His lack of movement limits his upside but I think they like his fit in the very limited role they have cut out for him. On a good day, he will play only 15-20 snaps.

i think they think. tonga had shorter arms and played lesser competition. Bo is longer more athletic even at the 350+ he was last year. after loosing 25lbs he’s going to do better.

So this is the NEW dumb thing THIS DC is all about? Takes guys with long arms instead of great football players? It just gets worse and worse.

I think they blame his movement limits on playing at 350-360. He was down to 327 for his pro day.

Translation: I was more familiar with Tonga so he has to be better.

Never mind he went 58 picks later, so obviously he wasn't in all that much demand.
Translation: That's what I was asking!!!!! Derdeedee!!!!!!

Terrible answer to the question, BTW.

Or maybe because they think Bohanna is better. Duh!

Could be true............or they blew the pick like they often do.

Thinking and it actually being the case are two different things. EVERYONE else had Bohanna ranked much lower.

No, they didn’t. Otherwise he would’ve been picked before the 7th round.
