No matter how anyone postures here that is tough on paper.

The saving grace is many teams on paper will be bad and vice versa so you really never know until you get there. Honestly with how our seasons have played out there are no easy wins. Line up and play.

Anything from 3 of those 4 is gravy at this point.
I’m not relying or expecting anything from Smith, Collins, or LVE. Those days are long gone. I’ve moved on to Knight, Steele, Ball, Parsons, and Cox.

Jarwin? No hate on him but probably no difference in him or Schulz. 2 UFA TEs Artavious Lynn (?) from TCU and Eubanks from Michigan look promising. Keep an eye on them.

I am looking forward to seeing the new youngsters play rather than the injury prone players who haven’t delivered for years.

Jarwin's only been in the league for now his 5th year, didn't play but 1 game his rookie year and only part of 1 game last year. In his 2 years where he was in for all the games, he averaged only 2.4 targets a game. Witten got more targets in 2019 alone than Jarwin got in all 4 years he was on the team.

It's not fair to say Jarwin "hasn't delivered in years", though I guess you could say technically 2 years is "for years".

Don't misunderstand me, I have no illusions that Jarwin will be the next Gonzales or Gronkowski (when healthy) or Gates. If for no other reason than Dallas has so many good offensive pass catching options.

I just want to see him to get a realistic chance to show if he can be a top tight end, and to this point I don't think he has...

Tampa and KC...every other game is winnable. Chargers will be tough too. New Orleans has no Brees. Of course with our luck Rodgers will end up on one of those teams like Denver.
Carolina, New England, Atlanta, Las Vegas....not scary.
Washington will be tough twice. Minnesota and Arizona are iffy games.
9-8 or 10-7.

bahahahha! :lmao:

That will take the cake for the silliest thing I read today.

Sorry, seen that movie too many times with the same ending. You can watch the game with bated breath hoping they don’t injure or tweak something. Not me. Miss practice time because they tweaked something. I don’t need to see that any more. I’ve seen enough holding calls and false starts at critical times.

They aren’t getting any better, on the downside, and injury prone and both coming off surgeries. At some point, you just have to turn the page.

Like I said, they are gravy at this point. Get something out of them, fine. Injured again? No biggie. Put the new young players in. I’m not sweating any injury to Smith or Collins or LVE.

Collins just got signed and only has had one serious injury. He is most definitely getting better. What are you on?

And you're ready to move on from our HOF LT who is reportedly healthy for a proven terrible Steele or a unproven 4th round project?

Terrible, terrible take.

Yeah, hope springs eternal. Like I said, I’m not sweating any injury, missed practices, game-time decisions to any of them. Gravy. I’d rather be pleasantly surprised than disappointed yet again.

Backup plans are in place. I don’t mind watching the youngsters, warts and all, giving it their all. Especially over some overpaid, injury-prone vet going through the motions.

And who did they play in those 8 games?

a few clunkers, the 2019 Bucs and Bears, The 11-5 Seahawks, and... Dak Prescott? Don’t actually remember that one, but they held Dallas to 10 points, because of this nugget:

In the 8 games missing Brees they allowed an average of 14ppg, which would have been the #1 scoring D in either season. Wouldn’t be surprised if they’re heavy ball control this year and the D is all-world. Get Kamara on that fantasy team

I am assuming TB wins the division, but I wouldn’t be surprised at all if NO takes it again. They swept TB last year simply because Brady wasn’t allowed to keep up with Brees’s scoring. TB had a combined 26 points in their 2 regular season meetings (both Brees games), but Hill would have won either of them at that low of competition.

Yeah...props for them for winning with Brees out but I can't say they are a tough out with Winston or Taysom Hill at quarterback. That's on paper. They could beat anyone at home honestly. But they aren't in Tampa or the Chiefs league.

But are they in the Cowboys league? That may be the most difficult rushing attack you face all season, we’ll know right away if some rookies fix the dam

I mean we don't know what the Cowboys league is. I'm just describing the "tough" road games. Saints don't represent that.

I guess only time will tell. I believe they’ll be in the mix for the NFC’s top record

Who the Saints? Good luck to them because I think Falcons and Bucks will be better but who knows.....

Falcons just won 4 games because they had a far worse D than even you did. But what makes them worse than Dallas is their QB was healthy (and helpless) through all of it. they gave up more yards than big D, caused fewer turnovers (hard to believe but it’s true), and were the single worst Pass D on earth. Then they went TE in the first round. you think they’ll flip that?

I don’t think you ever bet against a great D, but it’s not hard to bet against a terrible one

I think that's where we differ. I Don't expect the Saints defense to be great. Falcons have underachieved since that Super Bowl run. I Think getting rid of Quinn will get them back to the playoffs. Sometimes a fresh voice is what you need.
