If everyone pans out on defense, we should get there much sooner. On paper, we have a top 3 offense.

everyone pretty much can play offense in this current league. The teams that play with discipline, fundamentals and good defense are the ones that stand out because it is so hard to do in a league that is dying to be a crappy college conference like the big 12 or something with all the spread offenses and no defense.

Here is a hint..discipline is hard to achieve when the players can run to the owner like they do in Frisco.

The week 2 washington at NY game is a tough spot for both of them. Playing that first thursday night game is a real terrible spot to be in. Ny swept washington last year and get them at home 4 days after Denver at home.

I like the bye week in week 7.

Good time to have it in the season.
I agree,as ol'what's his face posted up PHILLY'S schedule earlier today&their bye is something like week 14
( that's beyond perfectly too stupid, in my view)

CowboysZone ULTIMATE Fan
My 1st take is actually not overall horrible.
I need to digest it more tomorrow.

@MarcusRock .....no conspiracy theories here.......all good? :muttley:

Just poking fun...all good....we are all fans with our opinions, rather we agree or disagree. I am just wondering if Rodgers moves on from GB...does he take his refs with him? :D

I am really concerned about the 4 of 6 on the road stretch of the schedule from weeks 11 to 16. Could really make or break the season.

yes
all afc get the extra home game this season next season its the nfc
I wonder if everyone realizes that the new 17 game schedule destroys the Cowboy culture carefully built over the past 25 seasons by Jerry Jones.

How are the Cowboys going to continue their commitment to mediocrity if they can't go 8-8?

Unless they can get a very rare tie, they will have a losing season or a winning season, it will be extremely difficult to half a break even season now.

I'm thinking that the rookies start contributing after the bye. From there the Cowboys can begin to pick up steam as the younger players begin to improve from game to game......theoretically.

DAL statistically has the 2nd easiest schedule in the league. That is largely due to playing a bum schedule in a bum division.
None of the 8 home games are versus teams who were over .500 last year.
You also get CAR, SD, ATL, DEN.

But it's way too early suggest all those teams just remained stagnant.

I do like the number of teams without QB solutions but that can change quickly for instance if DEN gets Rodgers.
And as of today I'd still take DAL in this poor division. DAL has the best QB by far and that is where it all starts.
WFT should be solid all-around with an improving offense and a very solid defense but Fitzmagic isn't the long term answer and has hit a wall every time he's been asked to be a starter.
Philly has a limited QB in Jalen Hurts and hodge-podge roster trying to rebuild without any cap space.
NYG has QB and team design issues. They are another rebuild on the fly unit.

I'd predict 10-7 today with a real chance to get 12 wins if the draft class shows up this year.
