What matters besides the the recent record? What is wrong with using the most recent years? What do you have against that? That's like saying "Hey man, why you talking about the most recent Cowboys? They won 3 Super Bowls back in the 90s! Why aren't we talking about that!".

or my faviorte...

"Hey, Dak was on pace for 6,000 yards and 70 TDS".... yeah, but the team was 1-3...."So what man! Dak though!"

Me personally? I dont judge individual players by overall team success. Its weak.

But............if someone is going to use team success to judge then at least be thorough and look at the complete sample size. But again, using team record good or bad to judge one players is weak.

Winning a weak division at 7-9 make you a contender? Do you realize the Cowboys were 6-10?

Your agenda is showing again.

How about a defense that gives up 40 points a game. Will that win you a lot of games?
I don't care really. I just know they won the division and played the Bucs close in the playoffs.

Dalton is a better QB then any QB Washington threw out there last year.

The more you bring up the defense the more I'm going to point out the 8-8 2019 season. That's an argument you're not going to win, because the proof that having a top 12 defense and #1 offense means nothing if your team can't beat good teams is all right there for you to see.

Oh, is that it?

You are going to blame Garrett for losing games where our defense held our opponents to 12, 13, and 17 points? That's Garretts fault?
Garrett had an M.O. It was Garrett’s offense, even if he wasn’t calling plays. Predictable. Even other team’s players were calling out our plays and saying how predictable the Cowboys were on offense.

So yes, Garrett gets a ton of blame!

Us? You’re a Dallas fan?
Oh my bad...

17-0 and Super Bowl bound.

Can you think of me as a fan now?

Goodness you guys are insufferable. If you don't think this team with 3 Wild Card wins in a quarter of a century isn't winning the Super Bowl every year then you're not a fan.

Okay, then judge the team as a whole.

They are 8-8 and 6-10 the past two season.

Why should I think we going to make any noise?

At what point does it become the players fault for not executing anything? Does it ever become the players fault?

Oh I agree on that premise too. Definitely. Players take on the culture the coach lays out. Garrett was stagnant. Garrett wanted to run the 90’s Cowboy’s offense to a fault. No pre-snap movement, et cetera.

Garrett was always patting guys on the butt after a crap play. No accountability from what it seemed.

Let's be honest, does McCarthy really seem like he's THAT much of an improvement?

Especially when he can't even get the record correct. Dak was 2-3 but he keeps saying 1-3, it just shows his hated bias against Dak.

"I dont really care"? Thats obvious.

Dalton doesnt play for Washington buddy, they signed Fitz.

Didnt you just say that Washington will win because of defense. You are contradicting yourself again.

#1 offense means your QB is doing a great job.

How did I know just by the title that there would be some talk of "but if this or that go our way we're contenders"?

The defense was middle of the pack in 2019, in fact better then that (top 12), and we still went 8-8.

A middle of the pack defense means nothing when your offense does nothing against above average competition.

You're forgetting the third phase of the game. 2019 Dallas had a bottom 5 special teams in basically every category possible.

There’s usually someone who emerges . And hard to imagine Rodgers sitting out if Packers won’t trade him.

Bears interest me if their QB can emerge with their defense. And if NY and or Wash get any offense with their defense. If you have a great defense could be a contender even with average QB.

Tampa, GB with Rodgers, Seattle def top teams.

I think we could be in the next group with any development in defense.
