What this tweet failed to explain is this from May 2020 to May 2021. So it incorporates his tag from last season and the signing bonus he got this year with the new contract. Nice to bet on yourself and win.

No offense to Dak but look at all those great names and Dak is 4th? The guy has won anything - his name should not be on the same list with those names.

All those guys have are champions - actually won multi-championships. Dak won 1 playoff game.

If you ever wanted to know if Dak is overpaid..... this list is proof
Did you see Conner McGregor in thats span? There was nothing great about him at all.

That's not by accident.

Look no further than the source. That company monetizes controversy.

In 3 years when we're still 8-8 (or 9) and you can't figure out why, just pull that list up again. You don't pay average players elite money.

Can you answer this one question, please. Does Dak coach, block, tackle, catch, kick, return, rush, etc.? If so, I can understand blaming the record on him, but by chance, if he only throws the ball and occasionally runs, your comment is foolish.

ok... he was a 2 division champion - first time in UFC to hold belts in two different weight classes

not to mention he won 2 titles in a lower end MMA circuit

and he is the biggest draw currently in the UFC

has his own Irish whisky

but yeah nothing great at all about him

Being the Cowboys QB sure does come with a lot of benefits.

If Dak was a Jacksonville Jaguar, put up the exact same stats through 5 years that he has in Dallas, he would not be the 2nd highest paid player ever.

Bs if he was in Jacksonville he may have gotten even more money considering they had more money to spend and Jacksonville would be better than what they are

If he was in Jacksonville he wouldn't have had Zeke carrying the load his first 3 years either, so I highly doubt he would have went 13-3, 10-6, and 9-7.

Sooo I wouldn't be so sure about that.

Slightly warped because of how football cap space works. Dak got a massive signing bonus but that gets prorated over the course of his deal... but here they only look at it as something he ‘earned’ just for this year.

The semantics of technicality
Exactly
He won’t be top 10 next year and that includes his next year salary too which he doesn’t get till next year
This year he got 69 mil with salary and signing bonus
Next year he will get 20 mil salary guaranteed

It's their earnings over one year (5/1/2020-5/1/2021) and includes all endorsements. It's not the yearly avg for contract. Not the total value of contracts. It's not even their earnings strictly in their chosen profession. Y'all are suckers for misleading numbers. All it takes to make this list is a large signing bonus on a brand new contract. Next year Dak probably won't even be top-10.
