Because it isn't going to happen. The team will not win enough games for starters, Prescott is coming off a serious foot injury and to win MVP the QB has to be the reason why the team wins some games during the season. Prescott isn't that type of QB. He's more Alex Smith than Patrck Mahomes.
Yeah, that's why Dak was on an astronomical record pace last season to shatter Peyton Manning's NFL single season passing yards record (5,400 yards) by at least 1,200+ yards. THAT, my friend, would have guaranteed Dak an MVP season last year had he not gotten injured, regardless of the team's record. If you think Dak can't put up similar passing numbers, especially with the weapons he has at WR, a much more dedicated and in better shape Zeke, a much healthier and better stacked Oline and a 3rd year more hungry and more creative O-Coordinator, I don't know how else to help you see the light.

Game manager not game winner.
Definitely not helping yourself with these comments, especially after Dak had 2 come-from-behind game winners out of the 5 games he played last year before injury.

Your hate of the player is making you look foolish.

MVP doesn't reward empty calories.
Regardless of what you think, team record is often a major consideration when comes to handing out MVP. So whilst you may get a hard-0n over a QB who had 9 TD's and 4 Int's and a load of fumbles with the team being a freak onside kick off being 0-4 from games that he started an finished last season, the people who actually vote wouldn't even batter an eyelid and would award their vote to a player like Aaron Rodgers with 48 TD's and 5 INT's with the team having a 13-3 record.

My outside shouts for MVP would be Herbert (his style suits MVP winning QB's and the Chargers could be legit next season) and Matt Stafford (again his style suits MVP winning QB's, he's finally playing for a good team that will finish with a strong winning record bar catastrophic injuries).

He only completed 4 games last season and the come from behind win involved retrieving a freak onside kick vs the Falcons, renowned for shooting their bolt at such moments.
It is disturbing how easily the term "hate" is thrown out there. I simply hold people accountable like yourself who post such hyperbole about a quarterback who does not warrant the same.

First of all, get your statistical facts right before addressing me. I don't like liars, especially disrespectful ones like you. Second of all, having Matthew Stafford and MVP in the same sentence is a joke. Lastly, if you despise Dak so much, why are you here, especially since Dak is not going anywhere for at least another 5 years.

Like I said, get your facts straight before posting. Understand why Dak was given credit for playing in 5 games and having won 2. You're making yourself look more foolish and uneducated the more you post.

Wins have to come along with the stats.
Dak's going to have to pull out some victories in order to win MVP .
Last year he was 1-3 even with the insane stats.
I hope I'm wrong but I rarely am.

Where have I lied?
Where have I been disrespectful?
I see Matt Stafford as having an outside chance of winning MVP, similar to how Matt Ryan won it but Stafford has a far better defence. The Rams could win 13-14 games next season and he's automatically in the conversation by default.
Why do people think I despise Prescott? I support the Dallas Cowboys not one player. No player is bigger than the team. Never has been and never will be.

I don't get it...even if you don't like Dak if he's having a stellar season that's great for the Cowboys! EVERY Cowboys fan should be hoping he has an MVP season.
That is what 25 years of false hope does to some.

This is puzzling to me. How can you root for a team, and hope their QB sucks???? These are some sorry individuals. Even when I would go on my Garrett Sucks, rants.....I always said that I hoped he would prove me wrong, and always wanted him to succeed.
I liked, as I don't understand how these so called Cowboys fans are always so negative. Once in a while I might rant and say so and so sucks but I see real HATE when it comes to Dak and we all know who they are. Dak can win MVP and lead us to a Super Bowl win and those same clowns will HATE Dak. I wonder why
