Our Secondary/Defense against Bucs will be ugly

I cringe thinking about our young secondary and new Safety group having to go against the Bucs on the first week. Going against Brady, AB, Mike Evans, Godwin, and Gronk is scary for a veteran team but to have to face them in the first game many of the Cowboys will be playing together and with a new system for the first time is frightening.

You obviously didn't see the first half of the super bowl when Dan Quinn completely shutdown the Pats offense...I'd suggest you go and watch those two quarters. Don't bother with the rest of the game, I didn't even watch it. Just garbage time stats that don't matter.

best way to counter that is heavy pressure on Brady, stats from last year under pressure were not pretty, as bad as any qb in the league. If hes uncomfortable he cant get the ball to his weapons..that would be the plan. Bring the heat take risks, you have nothing to lose..

we saw brady have few games where pressure got picks one game 3..

so find way to use all our athletic toys from the draft Cox/Parsons and get them just finding brady and go after him..if you try and play coverage , that when the weapons and brady can shine rater throw the kitchen sink out i game we are supposed to lose anyway so why not bring it early and often..

not sit back and try and keep the score low., that not going to happen

id like to see repeat of that Denver Manning vs romo game where you just play wide open all game and see what happens,

im not scared nor should they be ...

they do have an offseason to plan for it..keep it simple, just say play man on the back side and bring all you can front he front..force the issue..

TB will not know our weakness. They will be guessing at a defense they have never seen before.

I'm sure Tom can figure it out but just put pressure on him and see how long it takes him.
Just maybe the Cowboys offense can generate a running attack and pass when necessary. TOP could play a roll if we defeat the mighty Brady Bucs. Keeping our O on the field could be beneficial for the new defense. Maybe we go backwards and grind out the football. I think we win this game if we can do this.

Brady is a year older, he won’t be able to throw the ball beyond the LB’s. So no worries. :lmao:

There were times last year it didn't even look like TB could make the playoffs. They have a lot of older players and it wouldn't even surprise me if they suffer a SB hangover and completely miss the playoffs.

What a nice optimistic post in May.

I wish I could see more threads like this.

Throw in a Zeke is fat and Dak stinks while you're at it.

Thanks for the heads up on week 1. I probably won't even watch now since we already know the outcome.

To me it best to play someone at the beginning of the season, before they get things rolling because alot of front line players will not play in the pre season and some will only play a quarter if 3 pre season games are played and some even less. So anything is possible.

Just enjoy the show. Its not like Brady has a history of playing so great against Dallas. He wins but other than 2007 he didnt destroy us

Dlaw, Gregory, Parsons and Osa will be on Brady like white on rice.

Our safeties are better than given credit for, IF Kazee is healthy. Im assuming he passed his medical evaluations so I expect he will be ready and stay healthy like he has done throughout his career leading up to the injury. Wilson is a stud in the making.

The corners are a bigger concern, but we've got talent.

I do expect the defense to take time, but I dont think we see the same train wreck as last year.
