Bucs D was low key good man. But their offense sputter a lot tbh. The D created stops and turnovers it eventually got the team the win. Also Brady learn when to tone things down with easy completions and run plays.

I cringe thinking about our young secondary and new Safety group having to go against the Bucs on the first week. Going against Brady, AB, Mike Evans, Godwin, and Gronk is scary for a veteran team but to have to face them in the first game many of the Cowboys will be playing together and with a new system for the first time is frightening.

I disagree with your assessment about 90%. The whole defense is going to step up starting with the DL. The defense will be most effective in a 4-3 front with Bohanna, Urban, Gallimore, & Hill pushing the middle of the pocket & keeping run plays to average gain.

D-Law, Anae & Gregory will be able to get consistent pressure on Brady with wide rushes, stunts & being just too darn quick & fast.

Matter of fact Anae is going to have four sacks in the season opener in which all of them switch position of the field in favor of Dak & the offense.

The LBs will be able to roam free with a stout DL allowing them to cover the flats & inside routes. The outside CBs will be able to play man & only one will require saftey help over the top for most of the game (Bossman Fat with 4.3speed!)

The extra safety will allow Quinn to double Gronk all of the time or cover RBs in dump off or go for blitz if he stays for protection.

That's actually how I met my wife.
Not that I'm looking to replace her...

If we had legal gambling here, I'd throw down lots on the Bucs to easily destroy this team. 0-1, on the way to 7-10. The Jones bogans and Big Mike are still running the show and dat won't get it done against Brady fo sho. We'll prob get a lot of photos of flash designer men's wear on the players though as if that counted for anything.
I think the key is to play the rookies to have a chance. They actually have something to prove.

This is why you beef up your defensive line. It negates the wr and te positions when you put the qb on his @$$!

I can't think of a better way to say it.

I disagree. Dan Quinn will have his guys ready for whatever the Bucs throw at them plus I doubt the Bucs will be ready to put their best stuff on offense on tape during their first game of the season. Our defense will be facing the most conservative Bucs offense of the entire season. The Bucs might only lose one game all regular season long but it's going to be this first game of the season. They'll be looking for revenge when we meet again in the NFCC game.

and the whining continues i see...posts like this are why cowboys fans gets blasted.....its middle of may, you know literally zero about what next years team looks like yet you are so confident were going to suck...maybe try a wait and see approach

Wait and see approach? Riiiight. Because the last 25 years has shown us nothing. Dallas fans don't get blasted for "whining". Our fans are cynical and for good reasons.

I know we hired a terrible DC whose defenses were not good and we did nothing to improve the defense personnel wise. It will be another season where if the offense is not scoring 30+, we aren't winning.

I will watch because sports is entertainment but our draft was really subpar and once again did zero in free agency.

Uncertainty, but much better talent at both safety and cb then it’s been in a long time.

Dlaw, Gregory, Parsons and Osa will be on Brady like white on rice.

Our safeties are better than given credit for, IF Kazee is healthy. Im assuming he passed his medical evaluations so I expect he will be ready and stay healthy like he has done throughout his career leading up to the injury. Wilson is a stud in the making.

The corners are a bigger concern, but we've got talent.

I do expect the defense to take time, but I dont think we see the same train wreck as last year.

osa? Lol

You obviously didn't see the first half of the super bowl when Dan Quinn completely shutdown the Pats offense...I'd suggest you go and watch those two quarters. Don't bother with the rest of the game, I didn't even watch it. Just garbage time stats that don't matter.
This is about as cherry picking as one can get. The game is 4 quarters long. If it were only one half Quinn wouldn't have been laughed out of his Head Coaching job and would still be in Atlanta. Brady threw for 466 yards that day. Let's hope Quinn does a little better job shutting him down this time around...

you lost me when you indicated that the last 25 years mean anything in 2021

stop worrying about what hasn’t happened, nobody gives a crap about the last 25 years and it has zero impact on 2021

I think being the first game and also being a vast underdog will help the boys, they can play without pressure. who knows , it might turn out to be a battle, but take what its worth , one game at a time , win or loss , we shouldn’t go overboard . Neither doom or gloom nor Super bowl. Ha ha !!
