You would expect the Bucs to have the same plan as they did last year, which got them a SB. The problem with that is teams have a full offseason to game plan what you expect them to do. Then you try to scheme to stop it.

The Cowboys offense probably won’t change a lot from last year, but the defense is a whole different matter. The Bucs will be at a bit of a disadvantage in the information category.

Im expecting the defense to be much improved.

I think being the first game and also being a vast underdog will help the boys, they can play without pressure. who knows , it might turn out to be a battle, but take what its worth , one game at a time , win or loss , we shouldn’t go overboard . Neither doom or gloom nor Super bowl. Ha ha !!

It is probably better fir the Cowboys to play them the first game than the second game or later and give Brady some idea how the Cowboys defense will scheme/handle assignments.

Parsons goes off, Offense explodes for 30 points, and all the Friday shows predict we will win the Super Bowl and then we lose to the Chargers.

Pressure Brady = he plays poorly
No pressure Brady = he picks your team apart.

I've seen Brady lose to Miami with secondaries that were on the same level as the Cowboys. It was due to their front four being in his face.

No secondary, outside of maybe one or two, can really matchup vs Evans, Godwin, Miller/Brown and Gronk for any extended amount of time.

It's going to be a battle won or lost in the trenches. Brady has the mobility of Bledsoe.

There were times last year it didn't even look like TB could make the playoffs. They have a lot of older players and it wouldn't even surprise me if they suffer a SB hangover and completely miss the playoffs.

I am not going to say that TB will suck, but I really don't think they will be the same team as last year. TB and Brady week 1 last year was an awful sight, and I expect they will have there troubles this year. The Bucs won't be a dynasty.

I agree, the season is over. Tampa Bay, will destroy the psyche of the young defense, leading to mass whining and fretting.

Put a 49 year old Brady on his *** a couple times and he folds.

Team is bipolar, they may win against the Bucs and lose to the worst team on the schedule, just never know with this team but probabilities are the Cowboys take a shellacking!

What kind of a post title is that?! Way too many negative fans (if that's what you call them) on this board. No one knows the outcome of these games.

I'll stick w/Dallas giving the television audience/media heads something to talk about when Dallas wins sufficiently.

best way to counter that is heavy pressure on Brady, stats from last year under pressure were not pretty, as bad as any qb in the league. If hes uncomfortable he cant get the ball to his weapons..that would be the plan. Bring the heat take risks, you have nothing to lose..

we saw brady have few games where pressure got picks one game 3..

so find way to use all our athletic toys from the draft Cox/Parsons and get them just finding brady and go after him..if you try and play coverage , that when the weapons and brady can shine rater throw the kitchen sink out i game we are supposed to lose anyway so why not bring it early and often..

not sit back and try and keep the score low., that not going to happen

id like to see repeat of that Denver Manning vs romo game where you just play wide open all game and see what happens,

im not scared nor should they be ...

they do have an offseason to plan for it..keep it simple, just say play man on the back side and bring all you can front he front..force the issue..
Release the Kraken... aka Parsons.

I cringe thinking about our young secondary and new Safety group having to go against the Bucs on the first week. Going against Brady, AB, Mike Evans, Godwin, and Gronk is scary for a veteran team but to have to face them in the first game many of the Cowboys will be playing together and with a new system for the first time is frightening.
Let’s see. We have a good CB in Diggs who should be better than in his rookie year in a messed up scheme. Brown and Lewis are both experienced vets, not good CBs, but experienced in the scheme. Our rookie CB has the size and speed and will have had a full training camp and preseason covering our own three excellent WRs. We have a very good, young SS who makes plays and whom should also be better this year. Kazee is a proven playmaker at FS and is better than anyone we’ve had in the deep patrol in years. Our starting secondary and depth is better than it has been. Our DL is more athletic and deeper than it has been.
We “may” get beaten, but I’m excited to see our new defense play against the SB champs, and I’m glad it’s in game #1.

Week 1... anything can happen. I think we’re the better team & can flood them by 3 or 4 TDs if we really play like I think we will. They have a good front 7 but their secondary isn’t anything to write home about and Dak is the superior Quarterback.

The fun thing for me is that we don't know who the Dallas Cowboys will be.
Last year, no mini-camp's, covid did a lot of damage to a first year coached team.
New coach, couldn't implement all of his stuff, injury to Dak and the Oline, and so on.
New defensive coordinator from a complete scrub coach.

Last year was just a complete waste as far as I'm concerned.

This year, it should be a lot more organized with a second year coach who knows the roster better, understands Jerry better, understands what to do with Dak, has actively started to address the defense, brought in specific players for "said" defense.

So what I'm trying to say is, we just don't know what this team will be AT ALL. I'm excited to see though.
