Im super juiced about it man. I just think he is a special special player. Absolutely elite physical skills, to go along with an aggressive mindset.

I am from PA. I went to Penn State. I’ve know about Parsons since he was in high school and was offered a scholarship. The guy has been amazing at every level so far. I expect it to continue.

I also think he is exactly what the defense needs.

I just think back to the last decade plus. The ONLY times our defense has been worth a damn, is when Sean Lee was healthy, one season where Rolando was off the drugs long enough to play and the one year that Jaylon and LVE played well, until they both fell apart.

I dont think that’s coincidence. I think a stud linebacker is exactly what the defense needs as it’s foundation. As it’s centerpiece. Parsons can be that kind of guy.

Pennsylvania is called the Keystone state.

I think Parsons can be the keystone player for the defense. The guy that you build the rest of the defense around. I truly believe that.
Yep, I agree. And if he can add being able to provide significant pressure on the QB, it ups his value to the defense even more. I really do think it was a homerun pick. Getting Philly’s 3rd rounder is just gravy… particularly since it turned out to be Golston (I love Iowa players).

+5 points for working in the word keystone.

Luckier than getting a CB,
Yeah… as much as I like Horn and Surtain, Parsons’ impact on the defense will be significantly more with them using him like they’re going to be, I think.

Parsons in round 1 with Joseph in round 2 just adds a lot more to the defense than Horn in the first and Cox in the 2nd.

Particularly since they got Cox in the 4th.

I agree. I do think they would be wise to blitz him regularly and use him on the edge occasionally too even.

If they just have him sit on a middle zone on 3rd downs they will be wasting his talents. But I think Quinn knows exactly how to use guys like Parsons. So we should be fine.

Improve the front 7 and almost automatically improve the back 4. Kinda like win the lottery and you become much better looking.
