I truly hope this kid gets a shot. This is heart breaking and I hope whomever did this is found

Juantarius Bryant (@TheyLoveMyHair_) Tweeted:
It’s been a rough few days, but I felt the need to clear the air and get this off my chest. Honestly ready to move on from the situation. https://t.co/yUJELOstZW

Juantarius Bryant thought he was heading to Georgia this weekend to try out for the Atlanta Falcons during the team's rookie minicamp. When he arrived in Flowery Branch, though, he learned he had been the victim of a hoax instead.

Bryant, a defensive back from Austin Peay, was never actually contacted by the Falcons but instead by someone texting him from an Atlanta area code pretending to be defensive coordinator Dean Pees. So when Bryant arrived at the team's facility Wednesday to get ready for his chance to accomplish an NFL dream, he was instead turned away.

"I do not know or understand why this has happened," Bryant wrote in a Twitter message. "But I do know that everything happens for a reason. Yes, this was heart breaking for me, but just another stepping stone that I am not afraid to admit or overcome.

That sucks for the guy...but it's weird to assume that a team would just text a guy and not speak to him verbally, especially if there was no contract.

So either someone is incredibly cruel and he was sort of a little dumb or naive for believing it or it's a publicity stunt to generate sympathy and interest.

I think Bryant sounds straight forward and honest about the situation. I tend to believe some low life rat thought it was a funny prank. There seems to be no shortage of low life rats in this world.
If I were in his place I might've been a bit suspicious as well, but I also think he almost had to check it out just to be sure he didn't miss out on an opportunity.

Didnt the Browns have a guy just show up at practice and make it into camp? Maybe that can happen with this guy.

People get a kick out of doing stuff like that. No one got hurt except someone's feelings, so, who knows what motivates these idiots?

This is the kind of prank you would play on a buddy.........

I guess he doesn't have an agent that can help legitimize that stuff.

Actually the guy had to travel to Atlanta. Don't know how far he traveled, but depending on the distance it could've cost him a fair amount of cash for the sake of a stupid thoughtless prank.

Well, Tennessee is where he lives and went to school. Just a hop skip jump, and a leap to Georgia.
