News: Dez Bryant confirms desire to play in 2021 NFL season

I'll never understand why people get all up in arms because a guy wants to play the game he loves. If Dez gets a chance to play I'll be happy for him. I am happy for any guy who gets to realize his dream or in Dez's case continue it. His playing or not playing won't impact my life in the least so I'm not about to get on the internet and dog him for whatever he does to try and make that happen short of committing some sort of crime.

I have no hate for Dez. I just don't think his current style of play will work. It's why I think he should play this year in Canada. It'd be a good way to recalibrate his career. He could learn some styles in Canada that he can use to come back to the NFL while collecting a paycheck. It'd be a smart move for him.

The Dez disrespect on this board is pointless. Dude just wants to play football. Ppl clowning him for wanting to play the game he loves. Dude always gave us 100% whenever he put the star on. I hope he gets another chance in the league

I hope he does too. I think the CFL can help him there. I know he couldn't do it last year because of COVID, but, as stated, I think he'd be wise to refine his game in Canada. No better way to be in game shape and get practiced than to play in games. The CFL can help him there.

Well, Larry Fitzgerald managed to refine his game. I'd think he could use the CFL for a similar purpose. Refine his route running skills. Be more of a possession receiver. Those are among areas that a CFL team can help him. It'd be fun to watch him on a team like the Calgary Stampede or the Toronto Argonauts for a season or two.

I agree Dez can and should do whatever he wants if some team is willing to sign him.

But when fans come on with "Dez can still do this and Dez can still do that" I think it's fair to point out facts to the contrary. He has 6 NFL receptions since 2017, he's 32 years old, and the Ravens were so impressed by those 6 catches that they drafted a WR in the first round and let Dez walk.
