If your dog has ever manged to get loose, please raise your hand ✋

Nope, because I keep track of my dogs and train them. I know it's my responsibility to keep them safe and to keep others safe from them. I keep my gate locked so people can't accidentally leave it open.

It doesn't take much to keep them safe. Granted, my dogs aren't jumpers able to climb/jump fences but if they were I'd take steps to make sure they couldn't.

It's especially important if you are going to own "dangerous" breeds or aren't going to properly socialize them. Zeke appears too dumb to understand this and the dogs will suffer for it.

No such thing as a bad dog, just bad owners.

And no, this is not an indictment of Zeke the football player.
Not true. Some dogs like pitbulls and others have been genetically created and trained for centuries to be aggressive, hunt and even kill. It's in their DNA. The same goes for those mixing dogs with wolves. It's in the DNA to be killers.

Who wants to own animals that can kill other people unless you run a "ZOO"? Dumbest thing I've ever seen/heard.
100% correct. The county should be sued and held accountable for allowing such types of killer dogs to be owned within its jurisdiction, thus placing innocent civilians in danger WHEN those dogs "get loose" and attack. I wonder how anyone here would feel if it was one of their children/grandchildren attacked and seriously injured (or worse) by one of those killer dogs? I bet your opinion on the matter would change very quickly.

This is one level under saying it is the gun's fault for killing 20 people.... you have to control your animals if you choose to own them. More proof Zeke is a dope.

so since Daks dog got loose and bit somebody and put them in the hospital in 2019 does that make him a dope too? Someone here is a dope and it sure isn’t those two :muttley:

Didn't his dogs attack his pool cleaner last year or the year before or something?

Nice memory -- that's what occurred to me when I first saw this thread. Zeke really needs to take precautions to either contain his pets or maybe even muzzle 'em. If they threaten people in their vicinity, it's about time for Ezekiel to keep 'em under control. o_O

I don't think anyone expects that a dog will never get out. The concern is that it attacks people. Regardless of breed, who wants to be attacked?

If there's an expectation that your dog will attack anyone it sees if it ever escapes, you should probably reevaluate whether or not you are responsible enough to own a dog of any breed.

Doesn't say how the dogs got loose. I live in a neighborhood where dogs seem to get loose all the time so I'm curious how his got out. Does say it was at 9:45am which could mean he wasn't at home at the time.

Thankfully the injuries of the two victims weren't life-threatening, all things considered.

Bingo! In other words, let's wait for all the facts.......
