Rottweilers are extremely strong dogs. Mine was on a lead out in my in laws back yard. He saw something and took off full bore at, he shredded a 2.5 inch wide double nylon collar like it was paper it did not even slow him down.

These dogs seem like more bother than they're worth, although I'm sure he pays someone to scoop up the poo. Still...

It’s not always bad, but this guy always has something going on. He’s always in the news. Maybe distraction is too strong a word for the RB position, but the dude has to always have several things in his head.

(That was the straight line....who will make the most of it?)

We had a Rot/Shepherd mix when I was in high school who was so strong he pulled a metal fence post to which he was chained partially out of the ground in an attempt to get loose to go chase a cat. He excavated the concrete anchor of the post about halfway out of the ground and bent it to about a 45 degree angle. If we hadn't got there in time he would have pulled the post out of the ground completely and dragged it down the street.

Dogs are just like every other creature on this planet. You have some that are friendly. Some that aren't.
Ehh, My daughter swears by Pit bulls, she thinks there are the sweetest dogs (she worked at a vet) and yet they are well known and rightfully so for attacks on people. There is a reason they make German Shepherds police dogs and attack dogs. However, how many Labrador or golden retriever attacks have you heard about?

Funnier is the little dogs like Cocker spaniels, beagles, and chihuahuas are more likely to bite than bigger dogs. German Shepherds and other dogs used for police and "attack" dogs are not picked because of their aggressiveness but because of their trainability

-------You don't buy a dog if you know you don't have the time for him.

Thank you!!!

I would argue that Zeke has dogs, but is not spending the time it takes to control the dogs. Just my assumption on previous issues with his dogs. ROTS need a FIRM leader. I'm not he is that. Just m opinion.

I love my German Shepherd, just as nice around the house as she want to be. Not so nice to Solicitors coming to the front door though!

They really are. They are escape artists too. I had a 150lb male dotty that we took outside to potty and he was kept in a 10 ft by 20 ft (10 ft high ) enclosure with a chain link fence around the yard also and the darn thing still got out twice. We had to wire cattle panels on the inside of the dog run to keep him in. Lol. Great dog tho.

Oh yeah I don't care what people say there are certain dogs that are just more organically mean than other dogs. Never been a fan of those type of dogs.

I don't think anyone expects that a dog will never get out. The concern is that it attacks people. Regardless of breed, who wants to be attacked?

If there's an expectation that your dog will attack anyone it sees if it ever escapes, you should probably reevaluate whether or not you are responsible enough to own a dog of any breed.
*Hahaha, that pretty much shuts down the premise of :eek:wner responsibility , when that escapee pet dog walks up to a 5 y.o kid & drops a slimey tennis ball at the kids feet, and then stands there staring with a relayed quizzical look* :lmao2:
Hilarious:lmao2:

I had one "SHELBY" & she hated cops with an unholy passion, man, alive,I mean she'd charge & bounce offa' the chain link perimeter fencing barking ( I had one TPD female officer back off about 4 steps, unsnap & place a deathgrip on her dept. issue handgun( we had gotten her off of a cute little blond collage girl who'd ran a sob story ad)
