Washington plays 5 straight division games, while Dallas & Philly play 4 out of 6.

I think having a slew of division games down the stretch is kind of cool.

gonna be a major challenge. But unless one team just majorly pulls away. It should make for some exciting games in December

This is by design. Not an anomaly.

No. It's pointed out in an article because it's an anomaly. Divisional games at the end of the season are indeed the norm, but it's rarely been more than 2 consecutive to close the season. Washington not only has 5 straight but plays Dallas and Philly 4 straight weeks in alternating fashion. I have NEVER seen that happen where you have a home-and-home 3-game stretch within another home-and-home 3-game stretch, period, let alone it being against division opponents. Washington has reason to complain if they care.

I like the few division games to close a season, but never the home-and-home for divisional opponents because teams are different throughout the season. A divisional opponent can catch a team at a weak point in the season and get 2 games on them quick versus catching them at 2 different points in the season. I think it's more competitive that way. That's just me though.

There is no scheduling anomaly here. It's all quite intentional. I like having most of the divisional games at the end of the season when you should be playing your best football.

I do find it odd how the cowboys always end the season on the road. Philly doesn’t even step onto a plane the last like 6 weeks of the year. It’s odd

That 10 days will be nice as it comes between 3 straight road games. Before we finish 2 at home, then last game on the road. So it makes it seem not all that bad.
