To be honest Vegas is the last place a guy with that dude's issues needed to be taking up residence. Probably did him a favor.
His issue is he hates football.
That's it, that's the issue.

Location matters exactly zero.

Plenty of Cowboys players take bong hits than head to practice.
This dude refuses to see the facility unless it is game day.

The Cowboys had him in an apartment 4 blocks from The Star and he made exactly zero off-season The Star appearances.
Then he bought(actually rented then got in a contract dispute when he moved) a house in the same area and had weight eqmt shipped to him versus going to The Star.

Not at all shocking the Raiders cut him because he refused to attend OTAs.

I know I’ll get roasted for this but I’d give him a tryout. Maybe one day or some coach like Quinn could make the light come on. He’s incredibly talented. I don’t necessarily remember him being a locker room cancer. If he doesn’t cut it thru camp you cut him and move on.
Nope, nada, never.
He is a bum and everything wrong with everything.

The Cowboys lead the league in off-season participation.
The team that led it last year was Tampa who went on to win a SB.
1 doesn't guarantee the other but you don't win by being MIA.
And that bum is not the example you want to set.

It also helps he isn't very good.
He had 1 sack in 2018. 0 last year.
People are pretending he is the guy who had 7 sacks in 2017 which was a 1 time occurrence 4 years ago now.

Maliek Collins is 2 years younger than DI, can play NT and has 2 more career sacks.
And Dallas let Collins walk without a second thought.

Such a waste of talent
One day when he’s living under an over pass he’s gonna look back at what could have been
My thoughts exactly.

I hate seeing talent wasted at any job, it's always bothered me when people don't live up to what they are capable of.

But maybe football just isn't his passion, but wow, like yourself I will wonder what could have been if he gave it all.

How much better would this defense be with David Irving and Earl Thomas?

Something's brewing. I can feel it.

I just love it when people crap on a guy who struggle to get it right. Hey, look at that sorry loser over there who doesn't manage to fit in with the norms - what a bum, let's beat up and ridicule the clown. How dare he not live up to his talents.

Pathetic thread.

Then why is he still trying to play football when he has had 20 concussions? His star power will fade and so will he.

That was just a fluff piece, no particular information, just fluff.
And the only source of the 20 concussions is David himself. From what I recall, but I could be wrong.

Taking him at his word is a decision one would have to make. Not saying he is wrong, but it's something that I think needs to be taken into account.

Wait and see
He’s already lost more money than most people make in a lifetime
And he sure doesn’t have enough to live on the rest of his life
Time to kiss and makeup fellas. Irvin in the right situation can be very helpful. We need pass rush help and another weed source on this team.

Classic case of a player having all the talent in the world with zero desire to do anything with it.

Irving doesn't like playing football. There's nothing wrong with that, but a whole lot of us have to do things we don't like every day for a paycheck. If I was him, I would stick it out for just a while, make enough money to live comfortably, then get out of the NFL.

But I'm not Irving. He's made his choices and it's not up to any of us to question them. But someday he might just regret throwing his playing career in the dumpster.

Damn bro, you can shut down the thread on that post. /
