Ok, I see DAL plays DEN this year. However, I doubt Surtain will cover Lamb at any point.

Is Kyler Murray really THAT bad? I mean that tape is awful. And as an A&M fan he was not good at TAMU.

That was Kyler’s worst game ever. Bama just overmatched OU and Kyler had to run for his life. It got into his head and he made some terrible decisions.

Lamb is a very good WR and he could have done some real damage in that game if he had a QB that could get him the ball… However, Surtain improved greatly over the next two years, so I certainly wouldn’t expect the matchup to be similar today.

In three seasons, Surtain got a ton of experience and some of the best coaching you can get in the college ranks. Which is why people were worried about him already being maxed out. By 2020 he was, in a lot of ways, a different guy than this video of him as a true freshman.

But yeah, Alabama was lucky that OU didn’t have much of a thrower at QB that day.

Lamb looked really good. Glad he is a Cowboy.
Surtain showed up pretty well for a freshman. I would not have minded if the Cowboys had picked him at 10.

Lamb was kind of hamstrung with an inaccurate QB under duress that day.
Surtain had the benefit of playing with a good DL getting pressure.

Both are going to be good players. My hunch is that Parsons will be better than Surtain.
