Remember, they borrowed against future caps to get the cap number to what it was for this year.
Yes and everyone seems to forget or not understand that.
eventually if they can have full capacity in the stands, the cap will start to rise again.
But it has to pay back what was borrowed first, and continue to have no restrictions on fans at games.

https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2021/05/26/salary-cap-ceiling-for-2022-set-at-208-2-million/

The NFL salary cap dropped to $182.5 million for the 2021 season as a result of revenue shortfalls related to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the 2020 season, but it is expected to go back up during the 2022 season.

It will be some time before we learn exactly how much the cap will go up, but we learned on Wednesday what kind of parameters the league will be operating under as it heads toward that declaration.

According to multiple reports, the NFL and NFL Players Association have agreed to set a ceiling of $208.2 million. If the cap were to get that high, it would represent a 14 percent increase over the 2021 season.

It would also represent a new high for the salary cap in NFL history. The 2019 season was played with a cap of $198.2 million, which would mark a jump of about eight percent and a significant reversal of what teams had to deal with this year.
8% is a decent recovery. Still not where where it would have been pre Pandemic

Please explain. Reading previous posts you’ve made doesn’t mean anything because I have no clue what you’re referring to. Spell it out here so we can move forward.
Oh man, so the guy was saying dint get to excited about the cap ceiling that they have set because the pandemic could come back and the amount seems to early to be true. I was telling him the increase was a good thing and that it's based off of a protection of full capacity ticket sales, merchandising and the tv contracts, which bonds well for us. Same when we signed Dak I was saying it was a good contract because the cap will jump 10plus mil each year moving foward

It is the leagues money from all revenue brought in shared by 32 teams and in agreement with NFLPA in terms of players portion. The league is borrowing from itself off those revenue it is not anything they pay back, after all it is their money to begin with.

It's as if the pandemic never happened.

Looks that would coincide right with Dak going up to 45 million in cap hit or whatever it is. With Jaylon off the books that frees up 13 million. Zeke coming off in another year and then we always have the 22 million in Cooper we could get off the books starting next season.
Like I said to a certain someone when the deal was signed. Jerry knows when the TV contract money is coming in. He's on the committee for petes sakes. Yet. They told me Jerry doesnt know and signed Dak to a dumb contract. Now that contract looks like its going to be NOTHING when the new money comes in and Allen and Jackson gets paid. Like I said it would happen. But dont forget. A certain someone knows MORE THAN ALL OF US! lol.

Is this the same all knowing entity who first promised us that Dak would not be re-signed and then assured us that he would not be ready for training camp because of the serious ligament damage in his ankle? You gotta give him credit for one thing.. he's at least persistent.

I'd say the owners are going to bank some serious cash in 2022. Refilling their coffers after the pandemic hit they took last year.

The Trolls have been taking a beatdown for years now. Since Dak's rookie season it has been a one sided affair. And they are particularly quiet the last few weeks. They must have a sense of what is coming.

Or they prefer to not waste their time in a battle of wits with those unarmed.
