there is no denying that the right player will inspire the rest of the team. you go from lazy winston to the professional brady with 5 rings, the whole team gets a different focus. but then again that's why he is the GOAT and there aren't any in history like him. its tough to find a "tom brady"
Since you replied to my comment....I was hoping you or Ronnie would address my analogy about "wins".

Ronnie quoted Dak's winning % at me as proof of....well something.

All well and good.....but what KIND of wins? That is a silly stat unless we break it down. It's actually okay to lose some games. But you also need to win important crucial ones. Which ones are included in that winning %?

BTW...not trying to be critical or argue. It's an interesting exercise in what stats actually mean.

I agree, every QB wins some crucial games and loses some. the winning teams are winning, because the same argument applies to them. that's why they are winning teams.....

you hope they win more than lose. Dak has a .500 record against winning teams (as of 2019). before we jump at that, I have to say I never compare it in a vaccum, since its got to be compared to his contemporaries. Brady has an insane record against teams with a winning record. I believe Russell wilson is next. Stafford is 7-58. that's abysmal. Rodgers is also .500 or slightly below. I will find the latest stats for up to 2020. so Dak is on par with other QBs.

so first you want them to have a winning percentage. hopefully its similar to the other good ones in the NFL. then you want them to have good winning percentage against teams with a winning record, so it means they are able to play against good teams. then you want to see playoff success.

however, we can't only look at these in a vaccum of a QB and the offense, since I have often argued that winning/losing is a coaches responsibility and subsequently the GM. the GM and coach responsible to put a winning formula together, both offense, defense and special teams. I find it amusing that we talk about stafford and his lack of success and people will defend him, yet we talk about Dak and people will take the exact opposite view finding fault with everything they defended stafford. (p.s. stafford was an example).

so, it goes back to our original discussion. Dak can't control the outcome of the game, he can control the outcome of the offense. if he is consistent against good defenses, meaning more good plays than bad ones. and consistently good against bad defenses (mostly dominating, etc.). then he has done his offensive part. then the defense has to do their part.

and that's where responsibility of wins/losses is on the coaches. 2020 defense was bad. that's on Jerry and the coaches. 2019 team was bad and the coaching staff had a lot to do with it. same with 2018, where players started to take over the games and not listen to the coaches, which put the coaches on notice for 2019 one of the weirdest coaching situations I ever remember.

I think he is saying that he expects Dak to play just as well against the top defenses as he does the bottom defenses.

I don't believe that's a big ask for the 2nd highest paid player ever.

Fortunately for us.. I think Dak is going to play well against everybody. I think the "top defenses" argument is a bit of a canard though. Dak had a passer rating of 123.8 against the Rams in 2019.. most consider the Rams to be a "top defense" even though they only ranked 17th that year. His rating against the Vikings that year was 104.5.. The Vikings were the #3 defense in the league that year. His rating in game 1 against the Eagles in 2019 was 100.5 .. they were also a top 10 defense. In 2016 he had a 127.2 rating against the Ravens.. who were 9th in the league that year.. That same year he put a 108.3 rating up against the Vikings who were 6th in defense that year. If you look throughout his career you see Dak having pretty good games against pretty defenses overall. The notion that he only lights up chumps is a myth. Yes he has had some bad games.. but I think if you look closely you will see that most of the time they come on the road in weather games.. I think he will get better as he matures in the game.. but I'm not sure we're ever going to see a kid who grew up in Louisiana, lives in Dallas and plays 10 games a year in a dome play well when it's 23 degrees with ice on the field and a layer of ice on the ball. Troy never really mastered it.. neither did Romo..

The best thing about Dak's bad games is that there simply have not been many of them. Maybe that's why the ones we've seen stand out so much. If he did it all the time maybe they'd all blend together.. By my count he has had fewer than 15 true stinkers in his 4 plus seasons.. So his good games to bad games ratio is about 4 to 1. I expect that to get better as he matures and as his OC matures. But frankly 4 to 1 is pretty damn good. If the rest of the team did that we'd go 12-4 every year..

...well, at least the who's better between Wentz and Dak has cleared up. ;).. Dak has taken the keys.
After their first year there should not have been any doubt, but after year 2 it was a nail to the coffin.

LOLLLLLL we need a clown emoji on this site.

You named ONE member.

So let’s assume @rocyaice really did say that and you’re not a complete bozo taking what he said out of context.

That means your comment about “Dak slobberers” was about ONE person.

And that means you’re an absolute coward for not just calling out that ONE person and instead pretending there’s a mini-society of fans who wished for Dak’s financial success ahead of the team’s success.

You’re not smart enough to finagle your way out of this. Bye.
As a normal human being with a life, I don't make a record of every comment everyone on tbis board says. He's the only name I recall off the top of my head, but he was not the only one.

I wish you luck in finding your way back to reality.

@Kevinicus is a liar for one. I’ve caught him lying numerous times. Secondly, I never said pay Dak I’d it’s detrimental to the team. I also don’t think it’s detrimental to the team....

In fact, I said I’d worry about Jaylon and Zeke’s contracts before his.
You've never once caught me lying. The reverse is true however.

And you did say it. You said you hoped he got a bigger contract just to upset his detractors amd you had no care that it would hurt the team.

I said nothing about his leg, muscles or bones, being weak, or feeling the pins if you're implying that. My dad and I broke a leg, have pins, and each leg is much more sensitive to the other. Can't imagine getting constantly hit in that leg either.
I have pins also. Military injuries. It’s nerve damage. That’s a pain you fight through. That’s what’s called pain not an injury. It’s not a big deal either way

You can't find it because you made it up.

I'm a well known Dak fan around here. I don't have to lie about my fandom. I've been called every name in the book on this site. So I don't have to sit here and lie about something as stupid as you are claiming. I did not say pay Dak whatever he wants and hurt the team. I told you paying Dak 40 million a year isn't detrimental to the team its those other 4 or 5 guys contracts that are far more detrimental. You don't have to lie to make a point.

Case in point....his cap hit this year is 22 million.

The bigger the contract the worse it is for the team. That is a fact. Period. So, you can play gymnastics all you want, you did not want was best for the team.

I know you're a LIAR and LIE more than any member on this site. That I Do know.
Provide one example of me lying.

You already admitted to saying what I said here, then deny it in your next post. Zero honesty or consistency.
