Don't really like him, seems like a decent guy, but below average player

This. Well said without any drama. I mean I’m sure he’s a nice dude and he worked to get back etc but overall the play starting about 1 1/2 seasons back on and his lack of self awareness has made me want him to fade away.

Can't wait for him to drag his precious #9 jerseys and his gimp foot out the door. Clearly Jerry has been protecting him since he was drafted but lost faith after last season. The coaches and the media have all been given the green light to replace him and publicly trash him.

What Jaylon is doing "right now" isn't nearly as important as what he's doing 2 or 3 months from now. Maybe he's sore due to the offseason layoff. Let's be concerned when the time comes to actually be concerned. "Right now" is premature. In 2 months, it won't be. What, we can't wait to criticize?! o_O

Yeah this bunch seems like it trips all over itself to be the first to have a take on just about anything. People are honestly up in arms that a guy isn't going full bore during workouts in shorts in May. I mean seriously? I don't know where this need to jump in the time machine and predict the future comes from. Jaylon will play how Jaylon's gonna play and not one of us is going to get to see it until preseason at the earliest. Latching onto the criticism leveled his way by people who have often and openly admitted to wanting him gone seems silly. They're never going to see Jaylon in a positive light.. just like some people here.. If he leads the NFL in tackles and makes all pro this year they will have some way to rationalize how it doesn't mean anything.. I just aint got time for such people.

You know.....its pretty low to knock how a guy looks in "OTA's".....can I believe Parsons looked more fluid then he did? Damn right I can. But this criticism of him during OTA's is just insane. I've never heard anyone knocked for how they look in OTA's lol...just wow.

If someone think you don't look good in drills.....they should say so.

I play guitar....I could hand you one, and tell a few things before you even play one note. The way you handle it, put it on....I could tell you "don't look fluid". Or do. Then strum a few notes. You wouldn't even have to play a song.

That's what's going on here.

I say THIS emperor has no clothes and people don't say shift. Well...some people do.

Seriously. OTAs. System changes, technique changes, off season wrist surgery, I would be more surprised if he looked fluid.

Like Nate Newton said on Talkin Cowboys: He’s a good guy but his head is always in the wrong place and he doesn’t make plays

We shoulda moved on this off-season

Well I think the team can actually save a little money if they release him this off-season after June 1st. I think I remember seeing that. Maybe he won't wear #9 after-all?... LOL

Looked it up --> "Post June 1 cut of Smith would save $7.2 million and push dead money to future years", So there would be benefits to moving on.

Nevermind, I think they would have had to do it before March 21. Which they didn't. Morons.

So you believe your analogy with playing a instrument is equivalent to the first week of OTA's?

ok

have open compitition at LB may the best one win and if Smith has to sit on the bench then fine you cant go back out there and do what you did last year
totally agree,if he's not one of the top 3 heading into the season, he needs to be benched, dispite his contract.
