Seriously what do you guys have. Apple Vs Android etc?

Only reason is because I just got the Verizon trade in special for the Galaxy Z Fold 2 and this behemoth is a next-level masterpiece. Pretty much as expensive as my new flat screen but really some amazing technology with this thing. If you can afford it, it's the Top Dog out there. Sliding files between screens while switching calls and having files open all at the same time is crazy. Next/Gen Tablet phone tec for sure.

My father in law is Pro Apple and has the 12...but seriously this Fold 2 is mind blowing. Just wondering your thoughts.

Well cheap Verizon Nokia 2V Android. Phone is fine with an AWESOME HUGE Battery life!!!!!!! What sux is every bloody software "update" they push on you is regressive and sucks worse then the one before it. Why can't they leave it the h e double hockey sticks alone!! Now the google bar on the face page is PERMANENT and covers my screen saver. Google can stuff themselves!!!!.

Has anyone had better luck with an iphone??? Sho is expensive fo a retiree living on Robicheaux Bayou down here near New Iberia.. I'd be comin to visit them w my old shotgun when the battery dies after 500 charges since you can't change it out and it's 70 bucks to have it done - they do that crap on purpose you know. Should have a user replaceable battery, wash the dishes, clean the gator tail, and cook it for you fo dat ridiculous price..

I'd rather spend my money on a desktop gaming PC. That much cash for a bloody phone is stooopid!!!!!!!!!!! Just as stoopid as social media accounts.

AND BTW< VERIZON SUX!!! Their system just hangs up on you when you want a live agent. Got to be a better alternative than these arse-clowns. Anyone know one with decent customer service????

BTW the companies all make their money by selling phones at a markup more than they do the monthly service fees.

I have an Android. It cost me around $220, and shares with my laptop. I really don't see how anyone finds an iPhone worth the money.

I do agree with catiii about the updates sometimes screwing up the system. The last one seems to have caused my signal to weaken considerably, and my SiriusXM app has been cutting out on me about 20 times a day since the last update. I have to go into my settings, click on the SiriusXM icon, hit "force stop", confirm the "force stop", exit settings and retry the SiriusXM...and I use the app all day while I'm driving.

Other than that, I like the phone a lot.

The problem with Android is well Android. Buggy and every time they push an update on you it changes almost everything. It’s buggy. Did I say that already? Apps don’t work as well because they are buggy.

If you have an Android you love it, if you have an Apple you love it. End of discussion.

I was and AppleHead until I made the mistake of buying a HomePod and ear buds. Now, I am looking to get rid of the rotten Apples when I am ready to replace my iPhone 11 ProMax but is the alternative any better?

I love women but I hate, hate, hate Siri, the deaf speech challenged slut. If they want to improve her, make her respond to my cussing her out with a cuss fight, let's get ready to rumble!!!!!! I would pay extra for that interaction.

Apple rolls out their updates after the Beta testers tell them not to because they're just going to piss off the users and that works.

But I must say, there are some folks out there looking out for Apple users and get into every new feature of an iOS quickly and I have found them to be very helpful.

I've always had androids, Galaxies mostly. I just need it to work and give me what I need from it. Currently rocking the S7, and it's still rolling just fine (knocks on wood). Add me to the list of those who doesn't look forward to the updates.

I am way out of the loop now, but back when I cared more, it was possible to "root" the android phones, and take much more control over the OS, including forced updates. Pretty easy to do.

I was an Apple guy out of the gate when they first surfaced on the market. Had them for several years. Now, they are good phones. I hardly had any issues with any of mine. With that said, I hated Apple's proprietary ways (like forcing you to use iTunes to put music on your phone). Finally tried Android for my last couple phones, and, I've been mostly happy with them. I love that you can drag and drop files/music/etc with ease. No stupid software needed. I absolutely love 'The Edge' on my phone. Use it daily. I haven't played with a new iPhone camera but I can say I love my Samsung camera. My Android does seem to update apps way more frequently.

I'm riding this phone out, but I won't lie, when it finally meets it's demise I may peek at a new iPhone. See what it has to offer. Now that digital music streaming apps are so relevant, I don't have a need to put music on a phone. That helps me with my iTunes issue. lol I can tell you that I enjoyed the iPhone's texting keyboard way better than my Android. Just felt smoother to use.

I have an Apple iPhone XR. I also have the Watch 6 paired with it. I am not a great fan of Apple but their iWatch 6 is the only watch that produces a real ECG which I use to monitor my Afib. There are many things I hate about Apple, not the least of which is their tyrannical control of apps in their app store. I get why they want that but they use that control for more than just ensuring safety and consistency of their devices. And don't get me started about the Apple store experiences. That whole Apple store process is a contrived mess that is anything but customer friendly. But every time I opine on this I am sure to get the nastiest pushback from Apple sycophants.

This is a true story about an Apple story experience I had. A few years ago my wife and I gave our niece an iPad for a gift. As kids will do, she managed to break it and it stopped working. So I took it to the local Apple store to see if it could be repaired. I walk into the store at about 10:00 am. First thing I noticed was there were twice as many Apple employees as customers. So I figured getting help with my question would be quick and easy. But no. I asked one of the clerks for help and he directed me to a guy holding a pink iPad. So I went to the pink iPad guy and began to ask him my question, "can I get this repaired?" His response was, "do you have an appointment?" my answer was, "No, I just have a question about getting this iPad repaired. " His responded by telling me I had to see a tech and that required me to have an appointment.. Then he said he could make the appointment for me right then and there. He told me there was an appointment available that day at 4:30pm. So I said, "ok. Book me and I'll be back". So I want home. The trip there and back is about 30 minutes. So I showed up a 4:30 for my appointment. I was greeted at the door but a friendly Apple employee who once again directed me to the person with the pink iPad. I noticed this time the person carrying the all powerful pink iPad was a different person than the guy I spoke to in the morning. I wondered what ceremony is performed when they transfer the pink iPad from one protector of the realm to another. But again I walked up to the person with the pink iPad, told him I had an appointment to speak with a tech. He told me to wait and he would have the next tech available come and speak with me. I waited for about 10 minutes then the pink iPad guys returns with the tech. It was the same guy who had the pink iPad in the morning! No joke. He asked, "how can I help you?" I told him I had an iPad that was broken and I wanted to see if I could get it fixed. His answer? "We don't fix them. We replace them if they are under warrantee." What? I had to go through all of that for him to tell me they don't repair their own products? He couldn't have told me that when I first arrived and saved me the whole appointment thing?

Why do Apple customers put up with this crap? I think I know the answer. Apple customers will put up with anything for a chance to sit at the "genius" bar! It's brilliant! Apple let's you pretend you are a genius for as long as you want in their stores. You can sit around and tell other people how much you know about computers while they tell you they know more! Apple's most ingenious innovation is their ability to market crap to their customers.

Both. Yep I'm a sucker for the newest and greatest phone. I know they all do the same thing in the end but it's just my passion. So, I'll have an iPhone for about 6 months then switch to android. Rinse and repeat every year

I use none of them since i am still with flip phones the way i see it a phone is a tool not a goal.
I miss my flip phone badly. The ONLY reason I had to go to these mammoth big screens is because a large number of my customers want to text.

Now I'm resisting Venmo. I hatehatehate to any type of financial stuff online or electronically. Do y'all know anything about Venmo? Is it a pain? Is it easily hacked?

I have an Apple. It works fine. Since I'm not "into" technology, prolly wouldn't know the difference anyway. I can text, call and accept calls. All I need.
Same here, except I keep getting calls from a guy named Spam. I keep refusing to answer. You imagine how twisted some guy named after canned meat might be? And probably blames me.

I did sign up to receive obscene phone calls, you don't think that's what he keeps trying to do, do you? I specifically selected Nasty Women, All Races but who would name a girl Spam?

Hell, I don't even name my cans of Spam, Spam. I prefer more festive names like Dasher, Donner, Cupid, Blitzen, Crystal and Tiffany.
