I'm not sure amari is on roster next season if I'm being honest. Who knows, maybe they sign Gallup and trade amari? All I know is I'm excited to see how it all plays out

Truth be told i'm not convinced about Amari Cooper still. he managed to stay in games and fight thru nicks but
i saw nuthin that will convince me that he can hold his own vs elite CBs

Rams actually had Jalen Ramsey sticking to Mike Gallup ,rather than Cooper. Go figure .

Sure we have other options to go to should Cooper be shut down by those top CBs, ..but still i'm not sure we should be
preparing for Gallup's FA departure,......rather than Cooper excessive 20 million range per year. for a guy that struggles
vs alpha dog CBs.

Lol! About 270. I was about 340 my

We both look good in a Stetson....
Yeah. I am still 6'1 since HS and when I was a younger FF I carried about 215 and all muscle. Now days I run about 225. Still not fat but I would say a soft 225. But my body is breaking down after 24 years of firefighting and even a few lingering football injuries. I wake up some mornings and I have actually injured myself sleeping..

There are some good chefs on here and I really enjoy the Gameday Menu threads because all the talk has been talked and the last and most important thing is how can I best get myself prepared for the game.

I've heard it said around the NFL that Simi may be the BEST receiver in the draft PERIOD.. Laugh if you may, but some say he may turn out to be the steal of the draft. Bookmark I said this, go ahead do it!

I see a bunch of Michael Thomas potential in him

Only if he's a good ST'er, or possibly turns out to be ready to play in some instances. Play at a high level, that is.

Wilson adds value as a punt returner,.. otherwise where has he really stood out ?

Cedrick had the big Seattle game due to several blown coverages by Seattle and did nada after that game .. we don't have anyone elseto handle punt returns to relieve Lamb, so that's where he's most needed.

-Frankly i don't see anything special or promising about Cedrick wilson as a receiver.- at least we can prematurely say that Simi just may provide some promise as a vertical receiver as well as slot and some H-back like formations.
But Simi is not a punt returner. Not a kick returner. So it will have to be as a coverage guy gunner, FG blocker, etc - per special teams which it is profiled that he was a solid in that area at Stanford.

- i mean to watch the game last year when he set a school single-game record with 16 catches (for 230 yards and 3 touchdowns) in the double-overtime Rose Bowl against UCLA.

- Wilson already has offense familiarity game experience and QB rapport over rookie Simi, ..but there is no substitute for great size -speed - and we don't have anybody with those kind of raw deep speed measurements to take the top off a defense.

It's very common for #1 CBs to single cover and erase a team's #2 WR so that they can double cover the #1 WR.

WR Simi Fehoko, Stanford;
Drafted 5th Round
– 6-4, 230 and runs a 4.37

Some comments From Ourlads Draft:

-Used in a various ways, outside WR, deep go routes, slot WR, goal line jump balls, used as a Noah Brown type role at times, digging out blocks vs LBs as a motion HB.

- Only started one year, and displayed invaluable ability on special teams.

- Most big plays came from slot spot. Matchup nightmare in slot or bunched formation

- Described a long strider that eats up a lot of cushion in a hurry.
- Smooth, intelligent, deceptively athletic.
- Extremely violent hands at the top of his routes.

- Will need to work on neck-shoulder dexterity (dipping and swiveling hips and shoulders
to “ sell” his routes)
- Struggles with the more elite CBs at the top of his routes,
- Third/Fourth Round.

Me:
- I heard a You Tube Podcaster called Simi a “ bigger Cole Beasley “ but he doesn’t look near that fluid, smooth or change of direction foot quick.as Beasley.

- Ironically I heard Isiah Stanback on a Cowboys podcast say per OTA observations that Simi
doesn’t look “ fluid”...

From just his “ highlights” I can see Simi use his big body and arm stretch to snare contested
passes away from coverage guys, and he gain a few inches from some in the vertical game.

I am exitged about him too.

He should be the best WR on our roster. Cut Amari, CeDe, Galup and the rest instantly.

In 2009, Austin was 3rd in yards and 2nd in TDs, and 3rd in yards per game, statistically overall only behind prime Andre Johnson and Wes Welker, even though he had 20 and 40 less receptions than they did.
Austin had a great year. No arguments. Since he was a one year wonder though, he wasn't a great player.

His other 1,000 yd season, he led the league in drops and wasn't good at all.

Great year, yes.

Simi Fehoko believes he can be best receiver in draft class, NFL

i've never heard "around the NFL" as you say it so ... but as this link provides, i have heard it said by Simi himself
which of course he himself could say something like that.

he has deep speed and size and from things I have read he catches with his hands and is not a body catcher, which is great....him being able to play special teams is his meal ticket to NFL and then just learn kid, you have several good ones ahead of you and y ou can learn a lot. if he can line up in the slot, he is going to be a match up nightmare..he is mey pet cat from this draft.
