it won't change anything. Only a matter of time before someone says something like

"it doesn't matter what the salary cap is, anything over 10 mil a year for Dak is still taking up to much money that we could use to extend Damontae Kazee after his upcoming all-pro year"
You know it will happen too!

Jesus give me patience with these people

The problem isn't with the quarterback or the contract. The main problem is that this front office couldn't build a competitive team even without having a top paid quarterback for 4 years. You can say it's because Dak isn't elite. I'll agree with that. But is Jared Goff elite? Nick Foles? Garoppolo? I'd say Dak is easily as good or better than those QBs yet he hasn't sniffed a super bowl.

Hey if you want to be a Debbie Downer all the time go for it. Just take it somewhere else.

So if someone has a different opinion than you and dares to express it then they should leave this site? Sorry but this is an open forum for respectful back and forth dialogue about a football team and not a 'safe space'.

A football “fan” that doesn’t understand contracts impact the salary cap and thinks the team can sign 53 players to top contracts because the salary cap increases. Stick to Madden and let real fans have the football discussions.
I don’t play video games.

That’s great news
And I suspect it gets back on track to soaring again
Adding a game means more revenue and they have lots of other revenue sources that will go up
The cap going up really changes nothing. The % of the cap that the QBs take up will basically stay the same. Cap goes up, QBs salaries go up... then its everyone else fighting for whats left of the pie.

Wonder what the Bills QB is gonna be asking for? If he repeats last season, hell be asking for more than Dak.

There’s a difference between acknowledging what’s happening and being perpetually miserable, but hey, to each his own! Having hope isn’t “being a sheep”. This whole football thing is SUPPOSED TO BE FUN!
I was smoking a brisket on Sundays back in the Staubach era, and Im still smoking a brisket or some kind of road kill now on Sundays.
Ive become numb , doesnt matter anymore if we are winning or losing, doesnt matter if its brisket or Iguana.
Jerry has taught me how to be happy either way,,, thanks Jerry, your so cool.

You could not care less but still tried to enlighten me? That's some real Rocky logic there.

I also love the fact you call people miserable yet you spend all your time here getting upset at people that don't wave the pom poms 24/7 like you do. But yeah, it's other people that are miserable. One of your many failures as a person and a poster is your total lack of self awareness.

Bro, you could get your medical degree with all the schooling you're about to get.

Adapt or die, they say!

Win or lose still matters to me. It’s just not as important now, because we’ve all been to the puppet show. We’ve seen the strings.

True true, but Ive always been a glass half full optimist, I will always hope for the best every day, but I must admit my internal desire to return to the days of just whooping ***.

For us it really helps because the QB salary is set for now. By going up his salary as a percent of cap goes down
But your point is correct
As the cap goes up contracts will go up and QB’s eat up the most money
I suspect the Bills QB will be closer to Mahomes than Dak when he signs

https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2021/05/26/salary-cap-ceiling-for-2022-set-at-208-2-million/

The NFL salary cap dropped to $182.5 million for the 2021 season as a result of revenue shortfalls related to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the 2020 season, but it is expected to go back up during the 2022 season.

It will be some time before we learn exactly how much the cap will go up, but we learned on Wednesday what kind of parameters the league will be operating under as it heads toward that declaration.

According to multiple reports, the NFL and NFL Players Association have agreed to set a ceiling of $208.2 million. If the cap were to get that high, it would represent a 14 percent increase over the 2021 season.

It would also represent a new high for the salary cap in NFL history. The 2019 season was played with a cap of $198.2 million, which would mark a jump of about eight percent and a significant reversal of what teams had to deal with this year.
Spend the dough, Jethro!!!

That’s sad you let that happen.
