Cowboys fans these days have a hard time admitting we are the best at anything. Through the first 5 games of last season, Dak and the offense lead the league in offensive yardage. Maybe points should be the yardstick.

The cowboys don't really have games where they dominate in all 4 or 3 quarters

If they start scoring and leading in all 4 quarters they can be
We are talking about the offense. What you are bringing up is more about the defense not being able to protect our lead.

First, I think this is a legitimate question. The Cowboys were #1 in the league last year when Dak was playing. I get why people are saying the Chiefs. They were #1 in yards and #2 in yards/play. Buc why the Bucs? #3 in points, # 7 in yards and #7 in yards/play. The Bucs were not 1st in any offensive category! In the meantime the Cowboys were on pace to outgain the Chiefs by about 1200 yards until Dak got hurt. And they were on a pace to score 512 points which would have been 1st in the league.

So with Dak, Tyron, and La'el Collins back in 2021, it is totally legitimate to ask if the Cowboys will be the #1 offense in the NFL.

The difference is, the Cowboys had one of the worst defenses in the league while the Bucs were ranked 8 and the Chiefs 11.

That's no rebuttal, either you can explain your position or you may as well remain silent from the peanut gallery.

Reread my original post, I don't need to explain further. Don't include the defense or the other team in your thought process.

Of course you can’t. Pathetic.
Well, it amazes me the person who hates “haters”
so much is throwing out the lofty expectations that will be difficult to meet which will give the haters more ammunition to use.

It’s already not going to be good enough for Dak to return to form, he needs to be better. Zeke doesn’t need to rebound, he needs to lead the league in rushing. The offense can’t just be good, they need to be the best.

These are difficult to achieve, they will be easy for haters to pick on even if the team is doing well, and it will lead to “I told you so” arguments throughout the season.

W/Dak Prescott 2020:
1st half average 13 points/game (rank#18)
2nd half average 18 points/game (rank#3)

Defensive Ranking for Opps W/Dak 2020:
(1) Rams {14pts/3pts}
(19) Falcons {10pts/30pts}
(15) Seahawks {15pts/16pts}
(21) Browns {14pts/24pts(all 4thQ)}
(9) Giants {24pts/13pts(injury 3rdQ)}

Green Bay Packers had a good year putting up points #1.

For the Cowboys offense, they have to start the game better ranking 18th in 1st half points. Tyron and La'el are hopefully healthy as the reports say they are, so maybe having their 2 Pro Bowl OTs will help add a few points early.

Edit: Total Points/Game with Dak (rank#3)

If people want to crown them in June when it's meaningless, go ahead and crown them.

I'm going to wait until the play is for real in the fall. And if they earn it, I'll be more than happy to crown them then. When it actually means something.
