There is no question of Dak has leadership qualities or maybe it is more of a buddy type leadership but for 5 seasons we have yet to see results against good teams. I do not believe at this point he has to total package to win the needed type games to be a championship type QB. Management has surrounded him with player after player that ends up with the same results. Dak is a good QB no more no less and if this year is more of the same , disappearing against good teams, empty stats that look good on paper but mean little to team success then his new contract will be Jerry's biggest mistake ever and a anchor to the team. Hopefully he can connect the dots and take the team to the next level, past history says it isn't going to happen but we will all see the end results and maybe at seasons end he will of put it all together, should be fun to watch either way.

I like you am anxious to watch and hope to see more progress . He is not Tom Brady but he is the best we have by far and leaves it all out on the field . The guy plays up to his ability at all times and leads by example . He will use everything in his skillset to try and win including expose himself to injury . I believe the team respects that enough to play hard for him .

Is it enough to overcome the dysfunction of this franchise and win a championship. Sadly no but it is enough to possibly win a playoff game and that is what I have adjusted my expectations to no matter who is QB .

ABSOLUTELY!!!!

Did you see the schedule last year???? The toughest opponents were during the 1st half of the schedule...which happened to be when Dak played! Hello!?!? Dak most definitely would have SHATTERED Peyton Manning's single season NFL passing yards record. Believe it!
Who cares about Peyton Manning's record?
It would be nice to have a quarterback who didn't choke when the season is on the line.
Dak chokes EVERY time the Cowboys need him to be a leader and then puts up big yards ONLY when defenses are playing soft because they are winning big.
ANYONE who defends Dak doesn't care about the Cowboys; they are Dak fans.
If they cared about the Cowboys they would be as upset as I am for the way he always chokes under pressure.

You liar! When has Dak choked? The only chokers around here are you Romo fanatics who keep choking on Romo's chokeness while pointing the finger elsewhere!!

I always find it funny when people can hate ruthlessly on Romo, but defend Dak at all costs, while neither one of them has won anything for this franchise. They are the same. All those pretty, empty stats, that have led to nothing.

Why is this? They're both Cowboys QBs. Why do you have to hate on one to try and build up the other? Why is it okay to speak this way about Romo, but it's not okay to speak that way about Dak? What in the world has Dak done to set himself up higher then Romo?

Funny...that you defend Dak but roast Tony. Using Dak's first name and Romo's last name. It's VERY revealing!

People like you...so can't seem to face the fact that most of the time Tony "choked"....was because of his heroics in the first place. He'd throw stunning miraculous pass...then have to go out there and do it again. And sometimes again. Only a matter of time for one to fail.

But hey...you do whatever you have to do.

I want to hear how Dak is “moving out” around the pocket. There should not be anything wrong with his hands or arms so I would not expect any news there.
You are showing your ignorance about quarterbacking and throwing. You don't throw with your arm, you throw with and through your legs. No legs, no arm. There is nothing wrong with Dak's passes. He may not be Rodgers or Brady but he ain't Trent Dilfer, Brad Johnson, Jeff Hostetler or Jim McMahon, all quarterbacks who won a Super Bowl.

"Hey look at how my arm is to take focus away from what ended my season and had me doing months of rehab to learn to walk without discomfort again, let alone run at football speeds! Did I mention I'm in the best shape of my life?"

The old misdirection tactic.
Except Schultz made the comment about his arm, not Dak.
