Let him walk. Jaylon has major issues. His breakdowns & mental lapses in coverage are easy to see & his tackles, while many, are happening after opponents are well past the line of scrimmage. His actual effectiveness on the field has dropped significantly from 2018. He's definitely one of the lower graded starting LB's in the NFL & has an attitude Dallas doesn't need.

No one will give a 5 for a guy with a huge contract, ego and will be available for nothing this time next year. Smith’s tape has to be horrendous. All that ballerina crap to avoid contact is obvious to real football organizations.
Great points. There are too many fans on this site that cannot seem to grasp how bad this guy is. The stuff he has put on tape should make Dallas embarrassed to trot him out every week. I am POSITIVE that the opposing coaches are salivating when game planning against this guy. He makes a LOT of tackles because the oppositions game plan is to TARGET him. By the time he diagnoses what is going on...he will generally jump on the ball carriers back and get credit for the "tackle"...after the play has made big yardage. There are also times he COMPLETLEY does not diagnose the play and they just run through the hole he vacated(avoided)!!!!

So the wonderful mods who run this site let this slide but remove my posts immediately. Could at least change the title like they prefer to do so often. Unreal

And stop with the fantasy GM stuff alright
Lets keep it 100. If you , any of you knew how to do the job, you would be doing it.
People that can do, other's just run their gums.
So sit back , shut up and root or dont root
But the fantasy GM schtick is played out

People act like trading Smith would kill our cap for years. Relax, we'd just use the 2 million dollar difference we lose by taking that cap hit and sign JAGs anyways.

He sucks and brings the entire defense down. That's worth the hit to get him out of here. He's never going to get better.

No. Absolutely do not trade Jaylon for anything. The guy can flat out play. Just look at the tape from Notre Dame. He is a stud and Dallas needs him.

(Just in case the Charger front office reads this site)

This is an example of the Cowboy franchise not into winning Superbowls. Team pays a player because he can sell jerseys but is a liability on the field

Jaylon led the team in tackles .

Top 5 in the NFL last season.

Led the team in tackles. By a lot. Like the season before.
