A honest extension is imminent.

Besides, we need him for our sooperbowl run

Odds are the deal was some low 3rd day pick with strings and Dallas doesn't want to give up on him right now even though they acquired 3 linebackers this offseason.
If the trade would not net close to what they expect to get for him when he walks why trade him. Maybe a player for player trade I could see but conditional 5th to 7th I would keep him and gamble you will get more when he hits FA.

It would have to be a 2 year bridge deal. No way do you give this guy a long contract.

Why?

He has shown terrific ability when healthy.

It was not his neck that shutdown his season in 2020. It was a broken collarbone.

The neck surgery that he had before the 2020 season was a "minimally invasive" type surgery.
- My understanding is that it was a nerve issue not a structural issue.
Shhhh the ones that were worried about his neck issues dont want the facts shown....

I'd trade him yesterday.

You're going to need this.

probably be like the Lee situation. He will have one good season followed up with a rehab season and so forth. Jerry loves wounded players.

Interest is one thing. Offers are a different animal. Without knowing what teams are offering, who knows?

GM: You looking to move LVE?
Jerry: What are you offering?
GM: 4th Round pick.
Jerry: I can get a 3rd rd comp pick if he plays well. 5th rd comp pick if he doesn’t. No dice.
GM: Things can change with injuries and such. Keep in touch.
Jerry: Will do. How about Jaylon? Make me an offer.
GM: ... ... ... Gotta go. Keep in touch.

Now this post is funny

Well they are clearly inept at identifying and solving problems, such as taking a look in the mirror, but I certainly hope they are capable of managing the roster in a better than a one year at a time type of manner....

You keep talking about this front office as if it's new and we don't have enough data in yet. They've been running the team since Bill Clinton was President. It's okay to form a conclusion on their abilities.

Can't we go back to Bush on them running things?

They built those SB teams.

That's what they said anyway.

really you just need any 2 of the 4 to have big seasons and you’re set
As far as current and future guys, I think there are alot of questions if Cox will ever be a 3 down guy or just sub package guy. How is game progress as a pro will probably go along way towards wheather we look to keep LVE or draft someone else

Name a LB that looked good last year. The scheme was so bad it had Sean Lee confused.
Not disagreeing with you. If we use that excuse for LVE, then we have to use it for Jaylon Smith as well. But Jaylon receives 99% of the criticism for the terrible LB play last year.
