Parsons said at his press conference that he isn't really a vocal leader. I was hoping he was. We need someone to turn into Sam Kinison whenever they see their teammates doing the wrong thing.

I didn't expect that from a rookie but I was hoping by the time he was ready for his next contract he'd be that guy. As far as I'm concerned he is the centerpiece of this defense going forward.
Big BO is the vocal leader, he doesnt care that he was drafted day 3, he wants to crush centers.

Parsons (1st), Neil (FA, former 1st), Cox (4th), Vander Ish (1st), Smith (2nd) and a new coach with a scheme change. If the linebackers don't improve dramatically this season then what the heck does Dallas try next?

Though Smith shouldn't have been a second round pick....

We really do need someone on defense to take charge. The Hot Boys nonsense, Xavier Woods nonsense, J Smooth nonsense, etc. It is going to be a major uphill climb to change the culture on defense. Continue to purge trash and bring in fresh recruits. All we can do is hope that players like Parsons and Diggs can turn the tide.

Unfortunately, some of our fans bought into that narrative too.
The best was when Tony and co came out and said that hes on the sideline talking about the play. Not mad about not getting the ball. The media destroyed him. He also didnt put in the work at refining his route running. Once he lost his physical gifts his play dipped. He never recovered from the jones fracture either

but but bit this place said both were done and we needed to draft a first round OT..odd the docs around here were wrong..reports are saying not only are they healthy but in great shape..o_O:rolleyes::popcorn:
Everybody looks good until they start taking real hits in a real game. Tyron has looked healthy every season until the point where he didn’t. I wish him the best, but it is much too early to say that he will be healthy all season.

Isn't it amazing how we can go thru the worst season and then the first signs of practice and we're all ready to book tickets to the super bowl?!

No sarcasm. I love this time of year when anything is possible. It's also so indicative of life as a football fan. Everything starts all over again in the summer and we basically forget the previous season was ever a thing. Like a CB who just got burned, getting right back to business the next play.

In this era of the NFL, yes it is possible, we seen from worst to first before. With FA's and teams can be rebuilt on an off season. Most teams, there is really not a lot of difference in the talent as much as most believe. Well more so in the older days than now. As we seen how bad our depth could be / is. As a lot has to do with coaching and schemes and game plans. AND some breaks and luck along the way. Ball bouncing the right or wrong way at times.

It is not like the old days, when you could only build through the draft. You draft 12 players, and some UDFA's. You had their rights forever. If you were not such a good team, it may take 3 to 4 years of drafting high to become good enough to challenge for a playoff spot. As they only had 1 WC team for awhile. But you had to hit the draft right.
And if you were a good team, even picking lower, you stayed a good team for a long time. Because you could keep your good players for their entire careers.

Now a team can turn it around in ONE off-season, or be torn apart. What was the Dallas downfall, FA's more so than Jimmy leaving. Though I believe they could have had 5 SB wins over 10 years if Jimmy was there. But that is a different issue. But talent and competitive wise no matter the coach, was because of FA and salary cap.

yeah, just ignore that Jaylon got clowned. a one on one situation that is geared to the offensive player ..... guess Jaylon paid the guy to put that in there so the sheep will believe it.
Picking up right where he left off I see.

Well that sucks. Jaylon whiffing on a tackle and LVE got the wind knocked out of him and stayed on the ground for a minute. Both guys are in mid season form.

I am so happy we drafted Parsons and Cox.
