I watched it last night. I don't think it was intended to be scary. It was kind of comic bookish. But while it didn't piss me off, it was not as good as I hoped.

I also caught Breach, with Bruce Willis. 5 out of 10. The guy who is the central character was too much of a dolt to make the movie good. And the ending was predictable.

Agree on Breach. Decent enough movie for one watching.

Anyone watch or watching The Startup on Netflix? I started watching last night and I think it is pretty good. Not great, but still a good show. Of course, you need to suspend any disbelief for 30 minutes as Hollywood's concept of a "computer genius" is often a silly depiction of a social misfit angry at the world. And who knew bots could only operate on computers in the same neighborhood of the target computer? I mean there is some stupid stuff in the show but it is still entertaining.

On the other hand, "Good Morning, Veronica" is one of the worst shows I have every watched. It is a Brazilian crime show dubbed in English. If you turn on closed captioning, and listen to the dubbed dialogue, the differences can be humorous at times. This might be the most entertain aspect of the show. After watching the entire series I was left wondering how does Netflix choose what foreign shows they pick up? I have seen much better shows than this one cancelled by Netflix after 1 season.

It's possible the show is very good in it's original language. Maybe they have a deal where they have to show it in so many markets to have the original?

Recently watched "what drives us". The Dave Grohl documentary. Interviewing different bands and members about the van days. Grabbing your gear with a few bandmates and driving all over the country. Pretty cool. Some bands obviously went on to bigger things and some bands still do this and been doing it for decades. All in all 7 out of 10. Worth watching. It's a pay channel The Coda Collection on Amazon Prime. 3.99 a month. Lot of concerts and musical documentaries. Worth the 7 day trial. Just to check out.

Also just signed up for my trial of Paramount+ .. see how that goes!

I have no idea how long it's been around. I never heard of it either until recently. It was the only streaming service this show was available so after perusing for a little bit , they really have a lot of cool stuff. If you have the Amazon Prime app on your TV you can access all the additional pay services like Paramount+, Discovery+ etc and many more including The Coda Collection which is 3.49 a month after the 7 day trial. Not 3.99.

Netflix released the fourth season of Castlevania over a week ago. The anime artwork is first-rate, plus the action, dialogue and pacing are solid. A myriad of characters have individually diverse personalities, so none of them blend into each other.

I think the series' producers were not sure if another series based on a video game would gain a viable streaming audience. They made four episodes only for the first season.

Obviously, the decades old video game had a respectable core audience because the show expanded to eight episodes for season two and 10 episodes for the past two seasons. All three main characters are superbly delivered. The show has latched onto very good voice actor work, including a few 'well-known' names like Malcolm McDowell and, Bill Nighy and Matt Frewer during its run. One of the main trio, Alucard, is voiced by James Callis, who played Gaius Baltar on the SyFy network series Battlestar Galactica.

I know. Some will roll their eyes and say, "It's just a cartoon." Well, it's not. Far from it.

Edit: Warning. The show is definitely NOT for children. I should have started off with that.
It's just a cartoon.

Sorry, I couldn't resist :D

Started watching a series called Legends on Hulu. It's only 2 seasons, 20 episodes total.

I watched 2 seasons of "The Startup" and just started season 3. I am still interested and I have to say I like the show, but I could offer a number of suggestions to improve it. I won't spoil it for anyone else who may watch but I would have cast a different actress into one of the starring roles. Someone who is supposed to be a genius computer programmer and hacker needs to be convincing and this actress is not at all. The actor who play the Haitian drug deal has created the best and most enjoyable character on the show. The only flaw in his character is his accent is not Haitian at all. He could be one of the drug thugs in The Wire the way he talks, but everything else about him is fun to watch.
