Listening to Kellen Moore"s presser IMO he sounds a lot like Jason Garrett! I mean this in a good way, not bashing him. Jason Garrett has rubbed off on him. I also believe he will be a good HC.
Are you out of your *&#@! mind?

kellen became OC too quickly, that is hurting him.
The idea of him as HC anytime soon is scary, and if for dallas depressing.
I think he would be best suited as passing game coordinator.
Then make him run game coordinator and let him learn about the run game, which right now he is clueless on.

He's Garrett's twin. A horrible play caller. Ranks 21st in offensive coordinators. If he becomes HC of the Dallas Cowboys he will bring years of Garrett mediocrity.

As long as he moves Dak around I don't care if he sounds like Micky Mouse.

I don't care who he sounds like as long as his offense is producing results.

Garrett's personality and mannerisms were not the problem, his lack of results was.

The only article in his defense, is that he was saddled with Jerry in the FO. One could argue that his lack of results were in large part due from Jerry's drafting and Fa moves. Do we know how much control over the team Jason really had?

I don't give a rip, 13 years was more than enough. Big Mike isn't doing any better, we'll see how long he gets.

I liked Garrett as a person and I said when he was fired that I would not be surprised if he ended up having success somewhere else.

That said, I was ready to move on from him long before he was let go because he was not getting results and in the end, that's what matters in professional sports.

I think he was a little too attached to the 90's Cowboys mindset and I think that fed directly into Jerry Jones' desired blueprint, but today's NFL is a lot different than that of the 90's in all aspects and the inability to evolve and move past the days of old was never going to happen with Garrett and Jones running things together regardless of who was in charge.

I said when they fired Garrett they should have let everyone that learned under him go as well. You had to get all the Garrett influence out of the building.

Moore has been outcoached every time he isn't playing against a bottom feeding defense. I don't care what the offensive rankings are you have to beat good defenses too.

Coaches and FO interviews are not gonna give you the juice. Expect rose colored answers every time IMO

Bingo.. I'm not sure I've ever seen an OC with less of a feel for the run game. MAYBE Mike Martz with the Rams when he refused to hand the ball to Faulk who was eating the Pats defense alive.. Sometimes these geniuses are so busy trying to show their "creativity" in the passing game they forget that the object of the game is winning and not validating their "greatness."

Good. Garrett had some good qualities as a coach, let's hope MO picks up on the good and ignores the bad!!!

The funny thing about this is that if you put that 90's team in today's NFL they might never lose a game. They had SO many elements that would allow them to dominate this era. They had the offensive line and running back that could bludgeon teams into submission who played the game with a huge dose of nasty. They had big body receivers who could abuse opposing secondaries. They had a great up the seam tight end.. They had that unflappable QB with the pinpoint accuracy. They had one unblockable pass rusher who you either had to double team or let him eat your QB.. They had a rotation of DTs who all beat single matchups all day, stopped the run, penetrated and never allowed the QB to step up and kept O linemen off the backers. They had a bunch of warp speed linebackers who could run with and cover RBs and tight ends all over the field. They had a strong safety who could drop down and play nickel linebacker or cover anything from the tight end to the slot receiver. And they had corners who held their own against Jerry Rice.. Jerry friggin Rice couldn't even dominate those guys.. All that said.. it wasn't the attachment to the formula that was Garrett's downfall.. it was the inability to recognize that he was never going to assemble that much talent.. so coaching like you had it was stupid.

The Jason Garrett coaching tree is like a West Virginia family tree... No branches...
