Whew -- I thought it was John that died at first, rather than his Dad. Nevertheless, sympathy and condolences to the family for the loss of Jim. RIP to Jim and sincere sympathy to the entire Fassel clan. Here's also hoping John enjoys many more years of success with the Cowboys. We're so glad he's ours!

how can we forget when the Giants were 1-8 and he said ;'this team is going to the playoffs....and they did!
I always respected that season for him. He had his players' backs and they had his. Hated to see see it as a rival but respected the hell out of it.

RIP, Coach.

Here's a video some dude did about what an excellent coach Jim Fassel was. It makes me wish he had been the Cowboys' coach. I hadn't realized his team had been on the ropes that year they won the NFC Championship and advanced to the Super Bowl. Like a smart coach, he made adjustments and turned the situation around. I did not realize he had done the treat home games like road games thing. Hey, if it works, do it!

You don't have to be a Giants fan to love and respect Jim Fassel. Rest in peace, Coach.

Here's the video:
