Definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different results and that’s what Cowboys are doing with Gregory. Ten sacks in four season isn’t nothing to be bragging about even though there is potential there.

The breakout star on the DL is going to be Bradlee Anae with 10 + sacks & 4 forced fumbles minimum this upcoming season with the motor of Lawerence Taylor. He is the protoypical DE for Quinn’s defense that can rush in 4-3 hands down or stand up and play OLB like Von Miller. Unlike Gregory his motor doesn’t stop, he is stouter against the run and brings a whole another level of-nastiness QBs fear.

Bradlee Anae
Height: 6’-3”
Arm length: 32”
Weight: 257 lbs

Lawrence Taylor
Height: 6’-3”
Arm length: 34”
Weight: 240 lbs

I would like this to be true, but I don't see the evidence. And particularly not of the kind of numbers the OP suggests. That seems pretty far fetched at this point.

Not that I doubt Anae's drive or attitude, but his speed and quickness measurables are underwhelming, scouts and teams didn't think too highly of him going into the draft, and you have to wonder why the team didn't see him as worthy of playing time last year. Sure measurables often don't tell all, and teams sometimes don't get it right, but we can only go with the evidence we have at this point, none of which even suggests Anae will get significant playing time, much less be anything special.

I have no idea what the point was of comparing Anae's size to Lawrence Taylor's size. That's nonsensical, and undermines anything else the OP posted.

10 sacks in 4 seasons is a low standard.
Anae is going to get that in 1 season!
Based on what evidence?

Yes, 10 sacks in 4 seasons is a low standard, but that doesn't somehow mean Anae will get 10 in 1 season. Again, where is the evidence that Anae can have that kind of season?

The upside comparison to Miller is very inspiring, but that is taking the roof off the house, even you should understand the exaggeration in comparison considering just pro bowl appearances.
Having said that there is no reason why not to anticipate Gregory having his best season,, doesnt have to reach a Von Miller pinnacle for Gregory to really help fast track this defensive over haul.

Replace Gregory with Anae and you are on the right track. Remember you don’t want to be insane.

New positive trends!

He got 1 sack with 1 rep he got or about 10% of Randy Gregory’s career.

Let him get more snap and watch.

Why would you think of using the term "replacing" ,,, let me tell you a brief story, there was a time back in the early 90s when having talent on the DL was more than just who the "starters" were.
It was litterally like having two starting caliber DL units that could be used in a Jimmy Johnson rotational fresh balance that proved to be championship worthy defense.
I dont want to hear about who is replacing who,, I want depth that can take the so called starters job if they choose to relax for a minute, fat contract and all.
