Neal is a reclamation project and seeming to be good as a rookie is still not enough to vault one of the worst lb cores to top .6...again good for people being optimistic but let's be real here, the likelihood of their ranking is middle of the pack unless there is substantial overperformance
Never said different than wait and see. Just like to see the positivity and don’tsee the need to crap on it like you and others.

I don't care how some outsider ranks us, I think we're loaded with LB talent this year and we SHOULD be ranked high.
In the top 10? Don't know, but I wouldn't be surprised. Parsons, Neal and Cox are all good quality upgrades for our LB core,
and they're going to up the ante this year, believe it!

Well they said the Cowboys drafted the best LB’er in several years so that’s a huge part of the ranking.

Some rookies who’ve never stepped on an NFL field will escalate them that much? Maybe by 2023, but in 2021? 21 teams who also thought they got better just got leapfrogged

Wooo....I'm not crapping on anything I'm simply stating the rating is exaggerated....just because I disagree with it based on justifiable points doesn't mean I'm not positive about this year and our defense.

It's not an all positive or all negative thing, people can have a variety of feelings...for instance I totally agreed with the rb ranking at 5 and thought the dl ranking at 27 was pretty justified but had a lot more upside.

The lbs at 6 is very high in my opinion but doesn't mean I'm crapping on it

Sorry but this is way high....we have two ineffective starters, both due to injury concerns and a rookie, albeit a very highly ranked one.

We will be improved but this just seems way to optimistic until we see some play

We will be a top 6 unit when Jalyon is either gone or no longer playing much.

Unlike some, I'm not afraid to be wrong. Our defense this year is going to be a lot better than last year. We have some good defensive talent coming in this spring along with a better DC.
If I'm wrong, oh well, but I don't think so.

If our LB corp play receives an overall boost, it will be more so due to the picks of players such as Bohanna and Gallimore than Parsons.
It appears that those responsible for this ranking are taking everything into account. Better DT play leads to better LB play, everyone knows that. But when you factor in the fact LVE and J.Smith now being pinned against one another, that should boost both of their play.

Because Parsons is here to take the starting position from someone. Which means one of these guys may not be here next year. So better DT play and the added bump in competition, should propel this unit into the top of the league.

I like this ranking, it adds more pressure.

Think the ranking for the Cowboys is probably pretty accurate, but every other team was a major miss.

Damn you just live to crap on anything the Cowboys do. Feel sorry for you that you enjoy living that way.

Well I guess I’m just jaded by all the negativity here.

Just a realist. Pulling the breaks on blind homerism is not “crapping on” anything but that. But claiming it is is hyperbole, something that you do seem to enjoy.

Why any dispute for a preseason #6 overall LB Corp ranking?

We've got the talent & youth at LB and one of the best proven DC's in the NFL.

What's not to like? I agree with a #6 overall PRESEASON ranking.

What a bit disturbing is at LVE has injuries as an excuse but Jaylon was healthy. We know some of it was coaching but still Jaylon had a chance to step up big-time and fail. Remember Stephen Jones said although LVE's 5th-year option was declined, they still think he has a long-term future with the Cowboys. Translate........Jaylon and LVE both will not be on this team after 2021. I'm guessing the FO is hoping LVE can prove worthy of an extension.

were both poor in 2020, with neither earning an overall PFF grade above 55.0 and injuries also being a factor. Each player has a previous season with an 84.0-plus
