My heart goes out to LVE for all the difficulties he's had lately. He's a conscientious Cowboys player and deserves an amazing comeback for his determined efforts to recover from his injuries. I'm hoping to see him enjoy a total recovery and also for him to return better than ever.

I will forever not be in favor of signing a guy that had their best season in their rookie season.

We have no idea if he's any better because we can't see him fully healthy, but in the games he has played he doesn't look at all better.

All we have to go on is that rookie season, so he needs to show that season was not a flash in the pan and he's better now. If he doesn't do that then we need to cut ties.

Can't disagree here. They need the rookies to produce longer than 1 year. Or to show improvement from any struggles in their 2nd year. Such as Diggs improved as the year went on. So he needs to improve upon that this year.

LVE & Jaylon are in the same situation in a way.
Though it was Jaylon's 2nd full season where both he and LVE looked good. Injuries and Nolan's bad schemes since then. I know there are different opinions if it was Nolan or Jaylon or probably both last year. That is what it is.

But this year, even with another new DC in Quinn, they both need to show something or time to move on. I am glad they drafted Parsons and Cox for this very reason.

Two guys in white shirts and ties and riding bicycles came to my front door on a mission but neither of them was Vander Esch.

Ken Norton Jr. went through the same thing in his first years, missed 17 games his first three seasons....

...after which he reeled off 10 consecutive seasons of not missing a single start.

It's crazy to me how quick some fans are to try and write players off. I mean, at least give him his last chance. He deserves that. If he shines on the field, then great. If he doesn't, then everybody can have their 'I told you so' moment and we can move on. It's really a win win from here on out. I know the kid if a fine athlete, good teammate, and has the potential. He just needs to stay healthy. That's really key IMO.

On a mission to get paid? I bet he is. No thanks
I dont think thats a fair take, I mean sure he is, who isnt in this league wanting to get paid, but I dont think the Wolfe Howl was insincere, I think LVE has some Wolfe in him and a natural competitive spirit.
His injury history may be relevant, but they were 2 totally separate injuries with zero relation other than the Collarbone and the neck issue being in the same region of the human body.
I really like the competitive nature of this LB group going into camp, and really feel that you have to light a fire by bringing in younger athletic players that can and will take your job if you want to allow that to happen.
Jaylon and LVE,, I bet they are paying really close attention right now.

I'd much rather LVE missed his games in the fashion that Ken Norton Jr. did....as in nearly all of them being in his rookie year.

Why wasn't he on a mission last year? I dont remember any impact play he made before he broke. He needs to shut up. As I said, only Diggs, Gregory, Dlaw or Wilson can talk on that defense based off last year.

It was a desperate situation, maybe he wanted to be a team leader,, hard to do that from the sideline,, just ask Lee.
