So because someone has near the same size as Lawrence Taylor that means he will perform as well as Lawrence Taylor? Well talk about a reach.

I hope Anae can come out and contribute to this defense, hell I want as many guys as possible to be able to come in a help this defense out and make an impact. Dallas like all other defense rotate players in and out of the game, who starts is not a concern of mine, what players do and the impact they make when they are in the game is all that matters to me.

Definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different results and that’s what Cowboys are doing with Gregory. Ten sacks in four season isn’t nothing to be bragging about even though there is potential there.

The breakout star on the DL is going to be Bradlee Anae with 10 + sacks & 4 forced fumbles minimum this upcoming season with the motor of Lawerence Taylor. He is the protoypical DE for Quinn’s defense that can rush in 4-3 hands down or stand up and play OLB like Von Miller. Unlike Gregory his motor doesn’t stop, he is stouter against the run and brings a whole another level of-nastiness QBs fear.

Bradlee Anae
Height: 6’-3”
Arm length: 32”
Weight: 257 lbs

Lawrence Taylor
Height: 6’-3”
Arm length: 34”
Weight: 240 lbs

Wow. I don't think I've ever seen such a ridiculous comparison before. LMAO, Anae is the next LT. :lmao::lmao:

Anae has shown NOTHING. We can blame the staff for that and it probably wouldn’t be unfair.

What is unfair is to predict such a radically different scenario in his favor. I'd love to see Anae step up and fulfill your lofty expectations, but until we have a shred of evidence in him doing so your words are hollow.

Gregory on the other hand has showed us flashes in limited opportunities. If he is ever going to break through this is his year. A full off season with his head in the right place may do wonders. I would not bet against him being the best DE on this team, and unlike many here I actually like Dlaw.

Anae, may not even make the team, much less be ahead of gregory. if he is such a talent he would have been able to make the field and show impact last year, on one of the worst defenses in the league, yet he couldn't even get on the field. he is not that fast, lacks pass rush moves and experience to get on the field and make that kind of an impact. I don't doubt he has the drive. but sometimes, in the NFL that's not enough. BTW, those numbers for gregory are also due to his suspensions.....once he has been on the field, he has been impactful. .

I bet you that randy will get at least 10 before anae this season
With his first full season randy will able to play more. Since weed no longer test. He will play with no worry that he might be suspended
I doubt either do, but if one does it is way more likely to be Gregory.

I think what we like is the idea of him - the hard working, high motor underdog. Unfortunately, so far there isn’t any evidence those things will translate into him doing well in the NFL. Hopefully we see that evidence this year, but I’m skeptical

Reputation and knack for sacks and pass rushing.
whether college, all star practices/game, Cowboys training camp, ...always seen or heard of his performance as a pure pass rusher - totally the opposite with a Dorace
Armstrong disrupting and being an edge factor.

But i'll keep hearing the same " high motor/hard working " traits about Armstrong too.(ditto for what i'm hearing about Basham as well)
that's fine and good, just as Dorace has contributed on special teams in his 3rd year ton this team, but i need and still waiting to see pure ability as a
pass rusher first off,

Anae won't show out and stand out in the workout nor physical measurements, but every time i'm hearing him lineup on any level and period, he seems to be to standing
out as a pure edge pass rusher.

I'll try not to get into going after the previous coaching staff again, as we know how both Gregory and Anae were impacted by that certain coaching presence,

With Gregory, whose off field struggles and career hinderance is very well documents, if Randy is given full time starting reps, there seems to be nothing of threat to stall his potential now.
He just hasn't been available to gain the critical game experience needed to improve his game.
But Anae doesn't have the agility, bend and natural athleticism that Gregory has.

While i love Anae's first step burst, assorted pass rush technical moves and relentless knack for getting after the passer, he's still a project
with virtually zero game experience

The Gregory vs Anae comparisons is ridiculous but that's to be expected given where it's originated from.

College is very different from the pros though. Once in the NFL all that matters is what you can show at that level. Lot's of big time college players don't succeed in the NFL, and that's especially true when scouts don't see a big time pro prospect and the pure athleticism isn't there to work with. The high motor obviously helps, but it remains to be seen if that's enough to overcome his apparent lack of speed and quickness.

I'm not saying I'm high on Armstrong either. I haven't seen what the team sees in him. I'm a bit skeptical on Gregory as well - very good athlete, and more potential than most DEs on the team, but until it actually translates into significant production I'm not going to get too enthusiastic. Overall DE is just a position with a lot of question marks.

Not "we", just the OP. The rest of us should never have even responded when he did that, but it's hard to keep silent after such blatant stretches of logic and common sense.
