OL health is a huge reason for RB success, as well an offense needs a respected passing game. We should be back to that this season.

I was just saying, that 1400 yards stat means nothing. What if he had 2000 yards that season, would you still make that comment?
Since Zeke has joined the team we have not made the playoffs unless he rushed for AT LEAST 1,400 yards and won the rushing title.

I think we do a whole lot better as a team if we focus on the run game more then the pass game. The proof is in the numbers. That's all I'm saying.

Blogging the Boys should be required to put Pom-Poms at the end of every story. They don't even attempt to be even the slightest bit objective. McCarthy should write for them...

For as quickly as Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott raced out of the gates to stardom early in his career, he has taken a bit of a step back in recent years. The 2020 season was perhaps the toughest season for Elliott in his career. But on Saturday, Cowboys offensive coordinator Kellen Moore shared his excitement for a new and improved Elliott in 2021.

“Zeke’s had an awesome offseason. He’s looked great out there, he’s got total command of the whole thing. It’s been great,” Moore said. “…I think he looks really, really good out there. I mean just fast, crisp, in and out of things. He, you know, looks really good and we’re excited.”

...

During the press conference, Moore was asked about using Elliott in a receiver role to help him be even more impactful to the Cowboys’ offense. In his five-year career, Elliott has caught an average of 48.2 passes per season for an average of 391.4 yards and two touchdowns per season. Moore admitted that having players able to step into different positions on the field will be beneficial as he tries to build a threatening offense to opposing defenses.

To me, even if it's OTA’s or camp, ..any observation perceived rave reviews regarding zeke’s returned explosiveness is good news.
I’ll take that with a grain of salt. But it’s, and I’ve heard it this all before per last year’s camp.

I have no idea why his CoVid 19 case is being brought up (ala Mickey Spag’s recent interview) as ZKE seemed to have lost his patented burst
way before that all started happening.

And I took the fumbling issues as a means of lost confidence and technique.
We haven’t seen that happen to him near as in the past as it was massively as last year.

Oddly I’ll hear media likes report that zeke looks slimmer, faster and more elusive but no one is getting the story of the details of
how his offseason regimen (dieting, workouts) is reportedly getting him back to that playing form.

- And while Kellen Moore is in mentioned – a big part of how zeke can be more impactful vastly depends upon the OC caller ,..especially since it’s looking like
The HC will not have input or involvement in the scheme designs of the RBs whether run game or pass game …
And if wasn’t heard before, Kellen has been very underwhelming, non-creative, unimpressive as a designer, play caller with the RBs,.. imo.
Very simplistic and predictable in that sense and area.

Great to hear. Seems like he is kicking it up in the offseason instead of coming into camp out of shape, being used sparingly and using the first few weeks of the regular getting into game shape. Wish this was the norm through this first 5 years, but I will take it now.

Dak's record without Zeke is 4-4 to Zekes record of 3-7 without Dak if were all about numbers. That said i think they can be misleading both players compliment one another as well as their involvement in the offensive scheme. if Im going to place value on a portion of the offense I'm going with the line over both of them.

elliott is far from my favorite player in fact he might be my least favorite but I hope he bounces back this year and plays well and holds the rock. this team is at its best when both he and prescott are excelling.

I'm glad to hear of Zeke going all out in the OTAs. He really needs to do so to overcome the negativity that he's seen lately. Too bad that the OL didn't support him any better than they did the last 2 years but hopefully, that will change in 2021. Let's see if he's able to overcome the swoon that he's been saddled with lately. I'm feeling like he's aware of it and wants to change things for the better now. Let's see if the OL can help that along. ;)

Zekes issues are not his physical ability, it's his mental ability. He doesn't' have a lion mentality, it more in the line of a hyena!

“Dominating” in an environment where nobody is even wearing pads, much less tackling?

Yay.

Super Bowl bound!

Let me see him actually evade or outrun a few guys IN GAME and then I’ll be more excited.

It’s June. These media members who write stories like this need to calm down.
They are just digging, the scraps are few and far between right now, like mining crypto

We're 25-5 when Zeke has at least 100 yards rushing. That's very telling as to where this offense should place it's focus on between rushing and passing.

I have no issue with those who are critical, I think some go over board with it but whatever. Like you I like seeing reports on players who are looking good, sharp and quick and in shape. As for last season all RB need up front blocking, when you make a 5 yard run with a 1 yard pick up because you are dealing with defenders in the back field that is hard to contend with. I don't agree with you on Moore, again 2019 Zeke was 1,357 yards ranking 4th in the NFL. Last season we saw an OL that was decimated Now as for fumbles I always put that directly on the player, anytime you have the ball in your possession it is your responsibility to protect that ball and Zeke struggled doing that and must improve on it from this past season

I wonder what happens when he faces a defense that tackles the football.

Oh, I agree, need to run the ball, and Moore did a poor job last season with the run game. I understand playing from behind and needing to pass. But even in the close games, he abandoned the run too soon.
This is one of the reasons I do not like Moore as the OC, too much like Garrett was when he ran the offense. Except the year Murray had in 2014.
At times I think he is improving and am ok with him, but overall I am not. This will be Jerry's next downfall, he thinks of him as he did Garrett. and that may not be good.

I have the same fear. I believe Jerry wants Moore to be the head coach very soon and I do not like that idea one bit.
