He had one shot to play really.

7-107-2 against Seattle.

He's a 119-1819-34 WR if we free him this season.

I mean, if he can beat out Aaron Parker.

Bro. Marcus knows the rules. He lives for arguing with posters who criticize the refs. Lol. That’s his thing.
I have a few memories of getting my 6'4" 330lbs self in referees faces and scaring the crap out of them in front of about 10,000 fans! Good times!!!!

Except it wasn't a fake. Gallup did push off and then Ramsey did his flop move. If you stop the video before Ramsey's flop you aren't distracted by it and can see Gallup stood him up to create separation.

And if you are honest Ramsey technically interfered first by locking Gallup’s arm. Gallup is allowed by rules to put his arm on a DB as long as he doesn’t create separation. If that’s OPI, then it was DPI first.

That's what I first thought when it happened.

The rules someone posted earlier mentioned grabbing.

Clearly Ramsey grabbed (hooked). If he doesn't do that, then Gallup runs right by him and doesn't need to extend (or push if you agree with the refs).

I do agree, in the moment, with hindsight, but I understand a ref throwing the flag while trying to ascertain what's happening.

I just hope Pollard uses better judgment in taking balls out of the endzone than he did on several occasions last season

Based on Fassel's aggressiveness, I'd say no. I think Fassel prefers returning the kicks because he believes one big one is worth being stopped several times before making it to the 25.

Locking? Not even. At no point does Ramsey lock or pin Gallup's arm to where it's restricted as evidenced by Gallup having that hand free to push off. Ramsey getting an arm on Gallup was a reaction to Gallup sticking a hand in his chest first, which was after you see Gallup pull backwards at a piece of Ramsey's jersey when the video begins. Is that not holding? At any rate, all that hand battling is fine as long as you don't restrict or push off and only Gallup did any of that. He'd have been fine if he didn't fully extend to push back. He could have easily done an underhanded swim move to clear both arms but he probably didn't because Ramsey was right there, hence thinking he needed to push off.

If Gallup would have just run past Ramsey then he wouldn't have needed to pull at Ramsey's jersey and just ran past him. Ramsey was keeping up and/or gaining which is why Gallup chose to put a hand on Ramsey's chest in the first place to which Ramsey reacted in attempting to get under Gallup's hand while getting a hand on him.

I seriously doubt.....you can't project like that...as the 4th WR matched up against lesser CBs, finding opportunities here and there...but as primary Reciever being planned against and playing against CB1 and CB2, he will be taken out of games easily...he is what he is....a 4th WR after so many years in the league....make some plays when opportunity comes, disappear in the rest....

Our two best guards are Martin and McGovern and they should start.

McGovern had gotten in a pretty nice groove by the end of the season. He was showing power in the run game & had gotten much more comfortable in pass pro. I really, really hope this staff lets them compete & best man gets the job.

I know. It's sad that you have to hope that a professional football team will make decisions based on performance ... but we all know they have a history of not doing that.

They can call OPI on every contested catch then. You have to allow the WR some degree of hand fighting, especially if the DB is attempting to lock his arm.

LOL. So Ramsey just stood up on his own, mid pursuit? Okay. I bet you think Dez caught it in GB too, right? I could break out those rules for you as well.
Dez did catch it, was down but hadn’t been touched and fumbled moving toward GL and recovered. It was a catch and that POS Blandino screwed us. End of story.
