I hated this pick on draft day because it sounded like I should hate this pick.

But, I'm liking it more and more. It would be a massive homerun if this kid could produce.

Yeah, people hated the pick due to media manipulation, peer poster pressure, and ignorance of the player. I like the way you truthfully phrased it.

Here we go again. I am almost certain when the Cowboys face the Bucs on opening Thursday, Diggs, Brown and Lewis will be the starting CBs. Maybe an injury to one of these 3 allows Joseph to get some playing time. I would be shocked if Wright gets more than an handful of plays in the first month of the season, outside of special teams.

But I will say this, with Reggie Robinson supposedly showing up, Wright, and Joseph, it does seem l like the Cowboys at least have some depth in the secondary.

It was a bad value pick and it was always be a bad value pick because draft grades are assigned by potential rather than demonstrated ability. Having said that, if the guy turns into Richard Sherman, nobody is going to care where he was drafted.

I dont know if this is necessarily a good thing, but the Wright pick definitely disproves the possibility that Jerry puts the board together himself using draft magazines.

I agree with the starters.

The interesting battle there is who is next man up.

At least one of those three isn't going to dress, and I don't think it's a given that Joseph is ahead of the others due to draft status.

The guys on the fan found out that other teams liked him as well and he never would have made it to the next pick.

With covid scouts from different teams did not mingle like in years past so they didn't get a consensus on players like in years past.

That's exactly why I don't listen to the media when it concerns the cowboys, actually I don't listen to them at all...I've played and been watching football for 50yrs,I'll trust my own eyes weather I think someone is good or bad,not someone else's.

I honestly believe people here at this site know more than the media for the most part and I would rather converse with people here than listen to the media.

wow say it aint so a CB who goes after the ball and when it hits him in the hands he catches it..wow like the way he goes up and gets them as well..plays a lot like a taller Diggs..

now actual PS games will show us what he truly has as camps camp but live action against another opponent, well thats a different animal..

Very true. Wright came out of the draft day 1 talking about being the best CB in the draft and comparing himself to Richard Sherman. Goes to rookie camp and does well vs fellow rookies, so I wanted to see how he faired vs vet players as OTA moved forward with vets and then mini camp with vets and he once again looked good. So far he proving himself and next test will come at training camp and pre season when things really heat up, but no denying the kid has full confidence in himself and a bit of swagger to him.

You seem obsessed with CB height and NT height and weight.

Many said WR Steve Smith was too short.

I worked with a really nice girl just out of college. Topic was what type of guy she wanted to marry. She said taller than her and nice. Height was a showstopper for her. She was an engineer, decent looking, and smart. Last I heard about 6 years later, she was still single and looking.

Is she freakishly tall?

Taller than her and nice don't seem like unreasonable standards.

Around 5'9"
Point is what does height have to do with it? For some reason she did not want to be with someone shorter than her. It was an image thing. I guess she looked down on shorter people both literally and figuratively.

When asked what traits make a good leader, people always respond with height as a top answer. For some reason people view height as a great attribute. PJ O'rourke (writer and humorist) referred to a Philippine general as short, like an attack hamster. That was pretty funny on numerous levels.

Interesting stat on height and great singers. Turns out that most of the great singers are usually around the 5'8" range. For some reason great singers do not benefit from additional height.

Sad thing is she is one of the nicest and smartest women I have met. A few strange peculiarities but nothing alarming.

Yeah this is so much different than every other offseason.
Has there ever been an off-season that didn’t make some fans giddy? I still remember T. Hudgins off-season exploits and hype. He was the next Jerry Rice and he broke several of Rice’s college records. So much hope came with his signing. He was a superstar, fantastic, amazing right up to the time when he was one of the first cuts in preseason.

I remember Macy Brooks and his spectacular one-hand catch. Don't remember this Mr. T. Hudgins though.

She wasn't the type to play around unless married.

Georgia Satellites Keep your Love to Yourself:
Always, "No huggn, no kissin, til I get a wedding ring"
She said, "No huggn, no kissin, til you make me your wife"

Then again, who knows? Gotta watch out for those quiet ones sometimes. I doubt it though.
