I agree that WFT can no longer be discounted and dismissed. Fitz is better than many think, and they added two receiving threats.

And Giants are worthy of keeping an eye on. The get back Barkley, and add Toney kid is electric.
For the life of me, I fail to see how people think Washington is going to shine with an old journeyman QB that can get hot for 2-3 games, but has basically never accomplished a damned thing. Now if they had a really good QB? Different story. Thankfully they do not.

old journeyman QB

Do you know Fitz led the Fins in rushing in 2019? LOL, true! He is smart, gets the ball down field. A bit of a risk taker at times, but I anticipate him being good.

Check it out for yourself, 2020 highlights:

It's the Not-For-Long League, as we know. Especially now in the NFC.

Could the conference open up wide, and open up suddenly for some surprise team? I say it happens. Let's look around a bit at the top NFC teams of recent years:

-Yes, the Rams got a new QB but their roster is paper thin. They not only lost their best safety and a starting corner to free agency...they lost their defensive coordinator. Last year they were one of the luckiest teams in terms of games-lost-to injury. That rarely repeats.

-Green Bay's QB will be a guy named Jordan...or a pouty Rodgers.

-Seattle did absolutely nothing to improve their team in draft or FA, and Wilson did a fair bit to dump on his teammates this offseason. Don't see them being great.

-Tampa Bay has everything, but what if they suddenly don't have Tom. We've all settled onto the notion that TB12 is immortal. He isn't. He'll enter the new season at 44! The end for Brady will come out of the blue, and come with finality. A bad hit, or the arm just falls off.

-The most consistently good NFC team over the past decade, the Saints...ain't got a quarterback anymore. Their roster has been in decline as they are in cap hell and haven't been drafting so well in recent years.

-The 49ers might be the cherry of the NFC, but they lost two prized backups (for the year) already in training camp. Bosa can't seem to stay healthy. Will Trey Lance be ready when Jimmy gets hurt again? He's mighty raw.

The conference is going to see new teams arise and do so quickly. Will it be Arizona? WFT? Cowboys? Vikings? Bears? Even an unlikely team such as the Giants? We are about to see some surprise team(s) bust out. Mark it.

Yeah, he lead them with 243 yards. LOL. I’m pretty sure that said much more about Miami’s pathetic rushing attack than Fitz’s running prowess.

It definitely says a ton about Miami's 2019 rushing attack.

The take-away though is this: Ryan isn't your typical 38-year old quarterback.

Pouty Rodgers wins more super bowls than Brady if he was a Patriot.

your right, in that it is a good year for a new team or 2 to rise up and challenged the recent top nfc teams.
But as to which team it will be , who knows. Also the recent top teams may be able to maintain their status.
But this is the year to rise up.

Although if brady makes it thru whole season, TB may very well eliminate any who make it to playoffs.

It's the not-for-long league everywhere but Dallas, where you can conceive and raise a child, then watch them go graduate from college and grad school, without the cowboys even making it to a NFC championship game.

Last time the Cowboys were in one, there was no internet, no Google, no HD or wide screen televisions, barely any flip phones, no smart phones, and Bill had not yet met Monica Lewinsky.

Jerry was in his early 50s.

One of the best response posts I've read in a long time, lol. The timeline examples were awesome.
Sad but true, funny and factual.

Great post.

And there was not a Cowboys Zone. Just think how we now know there are all the fans out there that hate their own team. :muttley:
And yes could you imagine this place back in the 90's and even winning SB's, there would be discord.

Irvin, showing up in court in a fur coat as well as other issues, the White House, Emmitt's contract issue after the SB win. Erik Williams car crash, scissor gate, Jimmy being fired, and whoa, Barry Switzer replacing him. Deion gets signed. Haley comes here via a trade. That would have been some good stuff.

Yeah, normally they are franchise QBs who still got it. Not career journeymen who have lost almost twice as many games than they have won.

The WFT isn't going away anytime soon. They are going to be an even better team in 2021. I've even heard the Giants may give us a challenge in the coming year. This division is getting better while the rest of the league is not. The Packers minus Aaron Rodgers are not the same team that we've known them to be in recent years. The Bucs may represent the biggest conference challenge this year.

The Cowboys are going to learn the value of defense this year. I don't mean how having the worst defense hurts the team, I mean the value of having a good defense. They may learn if from the Eagles or Commanders but it will become apparent this season.

Maybe I am in the minority on this but I am not convinced by the Bucs. They have some aging players all over their roster. It is amazing what Brady has done all these years but he turns 44 in August. No one beats Father Time. One year Brady is going to show his age and I think it is this one. It might not be until later in the season but I think it will happen. Without Brady the Bucs are just another team.

If our defense can get it together the NFC is wide open except for one problem, Tampa.

While there are still good teams in the NFC, two of the top dogs just got neutered, the Saints and Packers. Hopefully Rodgers goes to the chaos that is the AFC. But that still leaves the Bucs. They're probably going back to the big dance. The only thing I can see stopping them is if Brady runs into a great D like he did in 2015.

Fitz's numbers over past 3-4 years are not crap. And WFT has upgraded its weapons from last year.

WFT added his slot guy from Tampa Bay Adam Humphries who they expect to give him a security blanket. Rivera has a method to his madness.

nice positive outlook and yes the AFC much stronger now then the NFC, wide open maybe a stretch but other then TB no ones looks dominants or unbeatable with few breaks it can be anyone's conference...

Tampa isn't the biggest problem. It's the Rams.

Matt Stafford is an elite quarterback who was stuck in hell in Detroit. Now he has McVay, weapons, an offensive line, and a defense.

Stafford could very well get the MVP this season.

We don't play them until December. We should be firing on all cylinders by then while they will at least be two games behind us in the division race. We'll do no worse than slit games with that team.

I dont think they beat a team who was playing a starting QB last year other than Philly.....( Wentz was bad) (Burrows was out early) WFT defense is widley over rated because of this in my opinion.

You're almost right. The internet began in 1969 with the first message from UCLA to Stanford. At the time only four universities, working for the DoD had computers.

In January 1983, ARPAnet shifted to the TCP/IP protocol, which to this date powers the modern Internet. In those days, old farts possessed amber monitors with 300 baud dial up modems to connect to one of the limited number of nodes. In 1989 British computer scientist Tim Berners-Lee ushered in the World Wide Web and the technologies to access, create and share web pages. He published the first web page in 1991.

Google says the internet is 11780 days old which comes to 32.27397 years leaving us with the 1989 date.
