But we do need our QB to survive the season. Dak's recovery from the leg injury has many hopeful yet filled with anticipation.

Frilly cheerleader!

It seems as though almost every season has been the most anticipated. The only exceptions that I can recall were the Campo years.

The Cowboy scouts and other player personnel have been excellent recently. Their work has been rewarded with mostly intelligent decisions on draft day.

Still, Jerry lurks. Had it not been for Stephen's influence or somebody else's duck tape, Jerry's decisions would have been, shall we say, more impactful. In which case, we would have drafted Johnny Football and Paxton Goodbye-football.

Never the less, Jerry will always impact the coaching and that is not good. He has consistently undermined his coaches and it has cost the team....and it's fans.

On paper, the Cowboys look to have an explosive offense and I believe we will see that this season. Special teams have always been average to lousy but I sense a change in that due to a real increase in the talent level of the team's depth. We will see more names on special teams that we easily recognize.

The defense was never as terrible as some seem to think. They were hurt all season long and even before that. They lost their three best DT's for most of the season. The veteran free agents they signed for the defensive line simply stole Jerry's money. For those reasons, the LB's were totally exposed and beat up.

They were trying to learn a new defense without any interaction prior to the season.

Eliminate those issues, which they should, and this defense is improved even without the additional players from the draft and this year's veteran free agents.

In the end, the next time I see this team in action, the Hall of Fame game, my pulse will quicken. I can promise you that.

Im always hopeful but Im feeling an actual change taking place and its been a very long time since Ive felt this way, this is a young roster with a lot of movement and rebuilding going on.
Rooks dont feel like rooks when thats who they are competing against, and we have some of those battles going on and thats a really good thing IMO.
Its grow up quick time, and several job openings for the best jobs available in America.

In my opinion you left off the biggest one! How will Mike McCarthy do? Anyone who judges him from last year without a off-season or preseason is an idiot.
